RB Series engine compatability parts?

Guys...

Just getting into the rb20 conversion... Now for the compatability bit..

Car: VK Commodore

Engine: Rb20det (eccs silvertop)

Gearbox (manual):

Flywheel? same from rb30 5spd to rb20/25 5 speed?

Bellhousing? Again any difference between rb20/25/30?

Can I use an rb20 flywheel, clutch with rb30 box and bellhousing?

5 speed engine plate? Any difference between rb20/25/30?

Starter Motor:

Any differnece between auto an manual starter motor?

Can you use a rb30 starter motor on a rb20/25 5 spd?

Can you use a rb20 starter motor on a rb30 box?

Power Steering Pump:

Can you use an rb30 item on an rb20?

Will the lines bolt up to a vl steering rack?

I think thats all so far.. Will add more when I think of them...

Use the power steering pump to match the rack and crossmember that you use. The problem with the r32 power steering pump is it has hicas lines on it too so i'd be looking to use the rb30 pump and rack using the rb30 power steering pump mount (thats if the pulley lines up with the crank pulleys, you'd have to check).

The rb30 gear box will bolt up, it's pretty similar to the rb20 box, rb25 is a fair bit bigger but the bolt patterns are all the same, ther may be different out put shaft configurations though. I am pretty certain that the flywheels are the same but by using the rb20 flywheel and starter or rb30 flywheel and starter as a pair you will eliminate that problem.

So I can use a rb30 p/s pump and mounts onto the rb20det?

If i use the hi-cas pump can I simply block off the extra lines?

when you put the rb30 power steering pump bracket onto the rb20 the top hole will need a spacer, or sleeve.

when you lay both next to each other you will see what i mean, some don't bother, still works fine.
