I know that I have said this over and over but Im going to try ONE MORE TIME!

We had a good thing going for a while there people! We must be the only SAU community to have the chance to be able to get together weekly for a few drinks and a good time and NO ONE is taking that opportunity anymore!

I dont know whether people just lost interest or if they can peel thier eyes from the bloody O.C every Tuesday night, but I know that I always had fun going to meet up with this group at Jerra and now whenever I go I dont even know if there will be anyone there!

Whats wrong with everyone? Why pass up the chance to have a great night out during the week and let off some steam? (fair enough if you have other commitments but surely you can come out after if they dont go until 10pm)...

I have only been an SAU member for just over a year now but in that time a have made some real friends who are some of the best people I have met and I mostly owe it to Tuesdays at Jerra!

Remember the carpark when it was lined with 'Lines and we had to make our own tables cos there were just too many of us!?

If anyone tells me that they NEVER had a good time at Jerra on a Tuesday night then I would say that they are lying cos it was great!

COME ON people! I have talked to people in the other SAU areas and they all think that we have the best opportunity to get together and be the most tight knit group in Oz, but they cant believe it when I say that people have just stopped going! They tell me that they wish they had something like we do! and most of us are just throwing that opportunity away...

I know that Jayce, Erica, Andrew (Veilside33) and Mark (Bluprint) will back me up in saying that we should have more interest from people on these forums because being a "member" doesnt mean just writing up a few threads online every now and then - it means getting out and enjoying your car with other people who have the same interests and similar cars.

This is the last time I am going to try... If no one is interested then Ill shut up about it, we'll just let it die and Ill just stop going too.

Mick as I have said before I think there are a couple of factors why people don’t come all the time. For me I love coming but can only get out every 2 - 3 weeks due to Fi having the car for netball the other times. In saying that though I don't want to be out every Tuesday I have to work to much + other friends + some time to do nothing is always good  once a fortnight yea for sure I am happy with but I just don’t think we have the numbers anymore to do every single week. So lets not just kill this great event how about we just make it less frequent for starters and see how that goes ???

Hi All

I had my skyline since end of feb and i want to meet all the the local liners but have not had a tuesday night off since i got her , friday night are just as bad (damn shift work). I dont finish until 10 on tuesday night but first chance i get i would like to meet u all. If u see a tall skinny dude in a grey r32 say hello

Angus

Righto you lot:Mick(the Bullet32 formerly known as R31DET...)has hit the nail on the head. I can understand some people having commitments, but even if 1 in 3 people had a night off from the numbers we used to have, we'd still have a BIG turnout. OK,it's easy for me to only have three Tuesday nights off total in a year,as I'm close by,and some people have to travel from afar, but I thought half the attraction was to drive your Skyline to meet other Skyline owners, yes?!?

as i dont have a car still, i cant get there. and as i live in Lanyon now, there are almost no SAU'ers here (aside from p1r4t3r, rachel from what i know of) so the only way i can get there is to get a lift, but no Lanyon SAU'ers go to trivia i dont think...?

Prove me wrong...?

OK;I'll try a diiferent tack, that goes out to all & sundry. Apply this as required!

DON'T tell us why you wont be there. DON'T give us excuses. DON'T justify your no-show. Just don't come along to enjoy the fun those of us are having that DID show up! Those that DO want to come along, see you there;if you want to post that up,before or after Tuesday nights, feel free! I just don't want to hear the negative voices(even the ones in my head),as I feel they bring the whole tone down a notch or ten...

I agree jayce but if you also look at who posts on the forums now alot of the people that used to post are the ones that came to trivia and are no longer around. Alot of the newbies on here don't come or if they do its once in a blue moon (no offence newbies :D)

Well, its Tuesday tomorrow and I will be going to the Jerra club, I know that I can rely on Jayce and Erica, Andrew and a few other non-SAU members (friends of mine) to be there but if no one else is coming then thats thier choice...

Ive had enough of trying to drum up more interest every 3 weeks so this is the last time.

Option 1 - Come along to a nice place that serves great food and drinks, have some fun with great people and let off alittle of that week day steam.

or

Option 2 - Dont come and carry on doing that normal repeatative thing that you do every Tuesday night (you might enjoy it).

And Shaun - I dont think that you have to worry about the toilet dwelling gay guy that your so scared of cos Ill be there and I promise Ill lay the smack down for you if I have to :ermm:

I hope to see a decent turn out tomorrow night but hey if it doesnt happen what can you do?

well because you are all putting on the guilt trip and the fact it will probably be the last one i will steal the car from the girl and make her catch a bus to her presentation in the city :ermm: . Though i will have to leave by like 7:45 so she can get to netball.

i LOVE trivia nights... and the gossipy/NW mag type questions i kick arse :)

unfortunately i work till midnight (Mon-Thurs) and have done so ever since you guys started going, otherwise i would be there.

maybe if there was somewhere else that has it on a Friday night or something... and just plan to go once a month... so it's like a regular monthly meetup.

i think going every week can mean a lot more of "cant be bothered I'll go next week"

JMO... might work to get more people! :(

EXACTLY my point :) if you make anything so frequent people take it for granted and will only come when they really feel like it... make it once a fortnight or monthly worst case and see how it goes because i can see tomorrow will probably be the normal people (not that it's a problem for me :()

    • What 1.5 way? There's no such thing really as a 1.5 way, just different ways of explaining 2 ways with different ramp rates. HOWEVER. In any driving in a straight line your 1.5 or 2 or 1.7 way should have no clunking at all. With the clutch fully depressed the diff should be silent (unless it's welded but I'm assuming it's not). Something aint right here.
    • Clutch is a spec brand, new clutch system,( PP, flywheel, friction disc, etc. pull type) installed 100 miles ago, with no problems.
    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drove beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?
