MYSHY32 after seeing that car, your dad MUST attend so I can take some more pics :(

Stevie - That would be great, round em up.

I will be informing the ACT Police of the event and the reason why we are doing it. If we get enough numbers this could be a real plus for the performance car scene in Canberra. It will show we are responsible and have a heart.

Good work everyone!

Is it really a good idea informing the police????

Then they will know where around and look out for us....

Could be just blabing shit, but... if we didnt say anything would it not be better...

Yes, maybe it might put a good impression on the cops about imports... but then again, they might just think its some sort of excuse for a BIG meet up..

Just a lil sugestion.. :(

it is an excuse for a big meet up, but they will definately understand and most likely be greatfull to us for showing them enough respect to let them know whats happening, its just a matter of trusting them to return that same respect to us.

SkyGTRline completely understand mate. But if we dont inform them then we could be in more trouble especially as the number of cars is rising. They should respect the reason for the drive and to be defecting cars on a Charity cruise with the media there wouldnt sit too well with the public I would imagine. Lets show them the import scene is responsible.

Glenn.....

Righto, like i understand what your saying.. but hopefully you can trust cops...

BUt if you all say it'd be ok..... then who am i to say.... haha that rhymes. :(

Ok, well yea im in Defenatly!

So this means ill be on TV????? :(

If the cops are involved and a LARGE amount of cars go cruising around teh ACT then they can help to organise things as it sounds like there will be a LARGE AMOUNT of cars involved. It will also help to bring the image of skylines up a bit, instead of images of them wrapped around poles on the front of the Daily Telgraph :D

MIVEC I tried calling them this morning and it rang out. I have also sent them an email and waiting for a reply. Will post up the response once recieved. We should have no problems and its best to give them a courtesy call to let them know.

maybe someone a bit older like richard should do it or jason just a suggestion

Should we be honoured or offended Jayce? I'd have to be the bad example and your the good one mate.

If that's what you decide either/or both of us would be pleased to help.

Although it Looks like Mivec and Camma have it under control. Sing out if you need a hand guys or an old man! :)

Does that mean we're honourably offended?! LOL! I'm in,100%. If me being an older SAU'er(reduced insurance premiums, slammed wheelchairs on Volk rims and so on...),and we're in need of a guiding hand,I'm only too happy to help! I'd really like to see this thing go big to help the Tsunami donation! The positive press generated by NOT seeing a performance car wrapped around an inanimate object will merely be a nice by-product of helping people that have had NOTHING for three weeks, and are likely to have barely any more for months or years... Bring it on! Who's up to the challenge? Where do I get started to help out?

remove all light poles might be a start??

    • Just trying to get my head around this. At 5psi of boost, you turn on your wmi pump, and then you're using a 3000cc injector, to allow flow upto the actual engine, where you have your 6x200cc injectors and a 500cc injector. If the above is correct, what advantage are you obtaining by having the 3000cc injector blocking flow, is this just incase a line breaks between that injector and the motor you can stop flow immediately? Or are the 6x200cc and 500cc less injectors and just spray nozzle?
    • Welcome! New member myself, but I had an R33 back in 2002. Best advice I could give, based on my experience: if you're running the factory turbo, be very conservative with boost. I made the mistake of just fiddling around with the boost controller and cranking the boost for fun, and the end result was my intake pipes popping off frequently from the constant deluge of oil that was being blown into the recirc by the stressed-out turbo, which itself was siphoning oil from the engine and farting it out both sides of its centre bearing (or something to that effect). If I could do it all again, I would have gotten a new turbo and had a tune dialled in professionally and then just left it alone! Funny you mention the metal shavings in the gearbox, as I had the same thing - the probe plug (magnetic drain plug, essentially) would come out caked with shavings. At least it was doing its job. Not sure if that's just sacrificial wear and part of the deal, or if my gearbox was shagged, but I wasn't abusing it. Enjoy the R33 - they're a dying breed, and if they weren't $35k+ on CarSales in Queensland, I might have picked up one of those again, instead of the 370GT I own now (though I'm loving the 370GT, that big 3.7L V6 just hits different).
    • Howdy folks. I owned an R33 back in 2002, which was thoroughly beyond my capacity (financially speaking) to maintain/insure, so we parted ways in 2004. Fast forward 21 years (to literally yesterday, in fact) and I'm now the proud owner of a 2007 V36 370GT. I'm happily surprised by how much power the VQ37VHR makes, compared to the RB25DET, considering the latter is turbocharged. I had planned to add a turbo at some point but I'm on the fence about whether I'll even need it (though I do love the sudden onset of extra torque). Any other 370GT owners around the traps, I'd love to hear about your experiences with this car (good and bad).
    • Perhaps the answer is... more jacks!* *proper jacks must be used.
    • I NEVER think about using a scissor jack unless there is absolutely no other alternative. f**king things are dangerous, annoying and stupid.
