okies ... well ill get da GT 25/30 ? ya and i have also been told da intercooler setup n pipin will be with silicon tubing that ok ya ?

Keep on posting up fellaz :(

Cheers!

dude,

picking the right turbo all depends on what kind of performance you want from your car.

you need to work out the power level you want and where you want your power so that you match the correct turbo to your engine for your requirements.

also, the naming convention you use for the GT25 range doesn't really apply to the garrett range all that much, it's more towards the hks range.

so when u mention you'll be getting the GT25/30, which turbo is that exactly?

So ? get a GT25/30 or GT25/35? then change the compressor wheel and turbine wheel on that ? ... me gettin confused now :) ... Im sure the GT25/30 will be fine ( remember i am doin everything BUT injectors )

You'r only after 200rwkw's so stay away from the GT30/40 As you mentioned in one of you'r post's that why upgrade to a biger but smaller turbo when you after more power later down the track, well if you'r going to be running a 3040 on a 140, 000k old engine then you going to atleast need new piston's for realibility.

You mentioned Injector's,

Why do everything else and not injector's - You'r not going to get far with standard one's if you looking at more power later, they would be one of the first things i'd do before you'r turbo. Here's how it work's.

HKS 2530 = you will most likely run around 14psi ?

HKS 3040 = most used boost pressure with these is between 17 - 22psi. Don't forget 14psi on this turbo = around the same air flow as 17 or so psi on a 2530, Maby more ?

Standard Injector's - max flow of 270cc ? You can squeeze 200rwkw's out of them with big fuel pressure but thats pointless, get some bigger one's.

You have the air supply not the fuel, = lean out = bang = expensive engine rebuild bill :(

Hope that helps,

:(

Im talkin bout the Garret GT 25/30 , i believe . :( from the page ive been lookin @ . and posted before .

I understand what ur sayin bout pumpin in more fuel without changin injectors ... I was only sayin that cause i was thinkin of the budget , but i think i can do it since i based my amount on a 30/40 .

I will get some 500cc injectors :) cheers ... I thought the GT25/30 was Garret ? wats all this HKS business :D can someone send me a link to prices on HKS then if thats wat i need .. Hope i wasnt lookin at wrong thing all da time :)

(if u cant tell i new to forced induction cars :( )

Thanks lads !

HKS & Garrett make the same turbo,

HKS 2530, 35 & 40

Garrett are named as the 440hp or 380 hp turbo etc.... GT25/30

I'm not sure what the exact difference's are but the exhaust housing on the HKS is different meaning they modify it to their standard's, and print the name HKS on it :). HKS turbo's are pretty much garrett with a few change's.

It doen't matter what you get, go for the turbo that you can afford - Just make sure you don't buy a $800 one from ebay.

:D

    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
