I currently have Kumho Ecsta 712's on my car and there is NO WAY i'm ever having them again. For the money, it's a decent enuf tyre but it's a poor man's performance tyre. Why compromise after spending so much money in other areas of your car?

For me, my power severely outweighed the 712's grip so i've stepped up to see what the toyo can do.

ive got Kumho 711 on the back atm, and 712 on the front

the 711's are utter shit..

712's have done very well on the front, and ive seen them do well on the back of a similar spec R33 to mine..

and for the price im getting them for, theres no real harm in trying em :)

Nangkang NSII................. they spin when you want them to and grip like hubba bubba to a dunlop volley every other time.... i got the 265 18' ones and they are great. Plenty of smoke, plenty of art and they last...

Ill let you all in on a secret........ phone order from tempe tyres (www.tempetyres.com.au) in syd

17" 235 around 110 ea!!!! (85 delivery with in 4-5 days).

I paid 220 for my 265 18s and 180 for the 235 fronts.

I got a few guys together and they made it cheaper plus its still only 85 freight.

Sherriff,

I just put a pair of the Ventus 104's on the 32 a month ago.. pretty DAMN GOOD tyre for the price.

I havent tried the 104's in the wet yet.

Shaun

gave the Ventus 104's a run today in the wet and they were pretty good, no loss of traction accelerating fully through second in a straight line. Most of the other tyres ive used break loose at around 5500 RPM or so.

car has 210wrhp.

Shaun

i just put the 104's on early this week too..

255/40R17

235/45R17

$860 fitted....

they grip ohh so good... im struggling to spin them, launching hard, launching around corners... 260rwhp and the buggers wont budge!

highly reccomended. :D

    • Yea - I mean I've seen my fuel pump which is decades old and uh, while I'm not saying this with real knowledge... but I sure get the ick at using anything in the fuel system that produced the state of that pump. Many years ago I went through multiple pumps (and strainers) before I dropped the tank to clean it out with extreme violence. I'm talking the car would do maybe 50km before coming to a halt, which resulted in me cleaning out the filter with some brake cleaner and going on my way. None of my stuff ever looked like what came out of your fuel tank. I don't think I'd be happy with it unless every single component was replaced (or at least checked/cleaned/confirmed to be clean here).
    • I'm not going to recommend an EBC pad. I don't like them. Just about anything else would suit me better. I've been using Intima pads for a while now.
    • Agreed, and in particular the earth strap that should go from the subframe to the chassis but it often broken or left off. There is a section in the R32 workshop manual you can follow for troubleshooting if you don't see anything suspicious, and depending where you are (there is no location on your user profile) you should be able to get your hands on a second hand replacement unit still if needed
    • Yeah they mention as a R34 for 2.5 Turbo...but then again thos "small" were also for R34 by that different site. But i look into it and that 310mm EBC is for R34 GTT. And by those you linked the specs are the same 🙂    EDIT: I found these on one site here: DBA 4000 series T3 DBA42304S They are 310mm...and it says are for R34GTT...are there good? EDIT2: ok they have pads too.  What "color" should i get for street use? I dont want/need some noisy ones...(and if they are not that dusty that is good too)
    • Yeah, shame. Maybe  driver's carpet is available 🙏. I am waiting for both amayama and nangun to confirm.
