When we were at Eastern Creek last Thur, Red900ss was kind enough to bring along a pyrometer (tyre temp measurer)

Results after a couple of quick laps were:

Outside Middle Inside

LF: 50 50 58

LR: 58 58 66

RF: 60 59 60

RR: 60 60 59.

So all pretty consistent except for LF and LR's inside temps.

I ended up getting a wheel alignment today, and it turns out that after a certain high-speed / side on / kitty litter incident, the alignment was significantly out. In fact Toe In for left front was +6mm, and left rear was +12mm. To put that in context, a more normal figure is neutral to +1mm.

I guess my point is, get a decent wheel alignment done regularly. Improves performance, and in the case of toe in problems like this, also big impact on tyre wear.
