What was your 60ft / 330ft and 660ft times / also the mph of the 660ft and terminal mph and time. This can tell you where things are coming un stuck.

why turn neons on while at the drags looks silly and potentially dangerous also robs u of power

All after me

Your so rice it's unbelievable, Your so rice it's unbelievable.....

And whats with Soarers, I thought just West Perth was packed full of them it appears their everywhere:eek:

Wow! It seems there is quite some passion about the "Lit-up" Soarer! Well I have to admit to you that - that particular Soarer belongs to me. I respect that everyones tastes are different so some (eg: Skyzerr33, jmp, gradenko and puckish) may think it's rice, butt ugly and/or the person driving it is a tool - and that's all cool - you're entitled to your opinion! I'm not offended...! The car managed to pick up the "Mr TRD" Trophey at the 2002 PAS Western Salon and a 14.2 on the drag night so it can't be all that bad - can it !?

The car is a bit of a project for a number of Perth based initiatives. For one I am also the President of the Soarer Club for Western Australia so that was in part why there was a stack of Soarers down there on Wednesday. And hey, don't knock the Soarers! both the V8's and Twin Turbo's did pretty well on the night! I certainly can appreciate the skylines and if I had a second choice a Skyline would be it.

Secondly the car is a promotional vehicle for my business www.importscene.com.au. Specialising in auto accessories for the import market. And yes I've seen previous threads regarding the "rice" component. But again I'm fine with that. You either love it or you hate that stuff, personally I love it and a lot of my customers happen to be standard Aussi blokes many of whom own skylines!!

So at the end of the day this car is a bit of a promo vehicle for me and it needs to be seen. I also happen to love the neon look (each to their own) and if that makes me a tool in the eyes of some of you well so be it ! I'll still be down at the drags (trying) to kick some whoop ass....! Next time you see me at the plex come over and have a yack I'll be only to happy to listen to you dis me off in person! I think you'll find I don't take too many things that seriously :(

By the way "EXIT" drop by the shop sometime in wangara and I'll give you a generous discount for having such good taste!...

Cheers guys - enjoy the scene... :D

Gregg

The only soarer I didn't like was the white one with the *huge* wing, long sticker and plate style rims.

It's just not my taste.

However, that blue/green one with neons didn't look bad but I just don't believe that neons belong on the track.

Also - Good luck with the shop lextc, nice to see a import style shop in Perth.

If neons and rice is the best way for you to express the love for your car, then I'm glad you stuck with your first choice.

personally I love it [rice] and a lot of my customers happen to be standard Aussi blokes many of whom own skylines!!

And thats the shame of it all.

    • Agreed, and in particular the earth strap that should go from the subframe to the chassis but it often broken or left off. There is a section in the R32 workshop manual you can follow for troubleshooting if you don't see anything suspicious, and depending where you are (there is no location on your user profile) you should be able to get your hands on a second hand replacement unit still if needed
    • Yeah they mention as a R34 for 2.5 Turbo...but then again thos "small" were also for R34 by that different site. But i look into it and that 310mm EBC is for R34 GTT. And by those you linked the specs are the same 🙂    EDIT: I found these on one site here: DBA 4000 series T3 DBA42304S They are 310mm...and it says are for R34GTT...are there good? EDIT2: ok they have pads too.  What "color" should i get for street use? I dont want/need some noisy ones...(and if they are not that dusty that is good too)
    • Yeah, shame. Maybe  driver's carpet is available 🙏. I am waiting for both amayama and nangun to confirm.
    • Probably. I take it that they are also mentioned to be for R34 Skyline? For example.... RDA has that part as RDA7957. I have the dimpled and slotted version of that on my car https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/285518478694?srsltid=AfmBOopKxMuAFpsxZJdB1cam4D5RAj1f9yJyOttPZLAwXVNCOiwlhrIy This is DBA's top one piece equivalent https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/364246686631?srsltid=AfmBOorbb0XHQgqTvZLgQPhg70nqJtGvdojKnugum3O2LFSr2h-obp8D
