I'm after a pair to fit onto an R33 GTR. I'm not really fussed if they are new or used, but need a pair ASAP.

Feel free to call 0407 931 097.

Hi,

I've a brand new R34 N1 Turbo (pair)

interested pls email me at [email protected]

cheers

there is different r34 n1 turbos around , i found out when i was in japan recently so i bought gtss's for mine .

I have r33 n1's in my r33 now and they are great , 2530's are old turbos now .

I didn't think the N1's were as good as HKS turbos, just a general idea i've picked up...

can anyone list differences between N1's and HKS 2530/GT-SS, ie what kind of bearing, what are the wheels made from etc?

what do u mean by different R34 n1 turbos? Any part numbers to distinguish??

Yea thats it about 4 or 5 different part numbers and some of them you have to buy the bigger housings seperate so you buy the so called n1 turbo and it comes with the smaller housing then you buy the bigger housing .

The ones i saw on actual cars( Nur spec ) all had the bigger housings , same as the ones i have on my 33 now .

Ferni , all n1 turbos have steel wheels , only r34's have ball bearings , 33 have 360 degree bearing and 32 have 270 .

They are rated about the same hp as 2530's .

ok what numbers are we needing to know to make sure we get the R34 GTR N1 larger housing as part of the deal!

here I was thinking getting either the 2530 or N1 34 was the way to go! but now there are at least 4 types of N1..... hmmmm

help!

oh and if any kind soul has a set of either of these please PM me :)

the bigger .64 sounds nice!

hi ok, all of the r34 n1 turbo's i've seen have had the same housing specs. .64 rear with .60 front. the only ones that didn't come with these specs are the r33 n1's which have small front housing and sometimes small rears as well. all the aa401 aa402 and aa403 have had these larger housings. between the 3 types of r34 n1's the only difference has been in the trim of the front compressor wheels. the later is the pick of the bunch. all of the n1 turbo range mostly use inconol front compressor wheels but all have steel rear wheels.and yes only the r34 series is ball bearing. ok on the topic of hks gt-ss turbo's compaired to n1's ok where to start. basiclly a hks gt-ss uses s15 compressor wheel with hks gt2530 rear turine wheel(or gt2871rs turbine wheel for u aussie turbo nuts as there exactly same wheel) the gt-ss hks turbo's on gtr use very simialar(near identical) housings to the nismo r34 turbz. .64 rear whit .60 front. basiclly the gt-ss will run abit more hp thanks to it's slightly larger rear turbine wheel thanks to it flowing more exhuast gases meaning lower back pressure meaning more hp. also meaning it can run alittle more boost as well and still being ifficient at the same time. any ways just some info

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
