I never said it would be better off with out you.

The fact is, people like yourself come on, act like complete tools which in turns causes the older, more mature members to realise that young immature people are coming on here, starting flame wars, dribblnig crap and just generally being annoying.

Turning workshops against each other, playing them off each other (we all know about you defiantly ripping off the hyperdrive sticker from your car at SST and then going sulking back to Hyperdrive the next day), asking pointless questions that can be easily answered by doing a search and just generally being a tosspot is your problem michael. I'm not saying I'm perfect, and I'm not saying that if you leave that will fix the problem. You asked why its the way it is and how it can be fixed, so I'm just giving you a straight, honest answer.

When I was your age, I acted like a tool, just like you are. Difference is, I learnt from my mistakes and stopped acting like a tool. You don't seem to be able to do that.

People come here to socialise and trade technical advice, not to act as baby sitters/big brothers.

Get a clue and realise the more you act like you have in the past by starting pointless threads like this, the more it will happen. It's a viscious circle.

If you just acted like you didn't have ADD, I think people would respect you more and not be annoyed by you.

You knew damn well that the minute you started a thread you'd get reactions like this because it happens all the time. You even said in your initial thread that if you got flames ... etc etc. You knew it would happen.

Uneekwahn, guess what its my ****ing car and i can do what i like too do. if i choose to put an sst sticker on my car then take it off and put a hyperdrive sticker on my car i can, none of ur ****ing bussines why i did that. i have my reason, IF ken, steve or anyone relating to that has a problem with me they can come and tell me and i well tell them the reason. - Also i never went and suck up to ken after i went to sst, get ur facts straight, i went to sst as i was adivces by someone on the fourm that they could help me, i gave them a try which i am allowed too, i went back to hyperdrive for my reason. Last time i check it isnt a crime to jump shop, if i want i could go to 10million different workshops, it has nothing to do with you or anyone else

Second i post this thread to try and improve the state of the fourm, i added the flame part as i had initial through a few members would make ajoke about it and reply with bs reply, i didnt think at one point i would get flame or attack.

ohh yes i act like a "tool" , for over the past 3months i havnt post any thread asking question or pointless thread.

:nowigetit:

I dont think anyone has the right to ask someone to leave these forums.. unless you're Prank :D but having said that, i feel that the forums degraded with the sudden influx of P-Platers right out of school jumping into an R33, finding the forums and flooding with stupid questions that have been covered a million and one times (not talking abt Mikey but a huge number of others and this isnt confined to just WA but to the whole board)..

Jason, What happen between me and SST/Hyperdrive has nothing to do with you or anyone else on the fourm, i have my reason and both ken and steve know what happen- I never turn any workshops against each other. Let just leave the workshop talk out of this as it has nothing to do with the topic and will lead it off topic, if u wish to talk to me about the workshop issue feel free to pm me and i will explain to you what happen (also would be interesting to hear what you heard about the issue)

Michael

also, the older members, me included are also guilty of not being as welcoming to the n00bs as how we were welcomed in the past.. when i first joined, the forums was a much friendlier place - maybe due to the smaller number of members and the fact that most of the members were older.. i guess for this place to improve we as the older members have to lead by example and bring the forums back to how it was when we first joined..

Like i said eariler, those days are gone. The import scene belongs to the kids now guys, its no longer a hardcore cult scene. This is just the natural order of things. We willl never get it back the way it was in 2002/2003.

It's a pity some of the older members have gone now ... such as adam32 etc

Used to be good fun cruising in the old days. Now I don't even bother ...

And the forums ... well the thing is I find that there's a lot of crappy, useless posts. As someone said, imports these days are a lot more affordable to younger kids. So they buy the car, jump on the forum, mouth off, be cheeky .. whatever. Then all the older crew gets sick of reading the forums and leave, and you're left with shit. Unfortunately.

well as i said before. the only real way nowdays to do a club like that is invite only. administrator set passwords/accounts and invite only from 2 or more members. nasty as it may sound, from what heard it is becomming more common over east. want to be a part? prove what your going to do to the club.

All too true.

Still if you stick to the tech sects there are a few little gems here and there. I have to admit they are alot harder to find these days though.

ahhhh forget ye not that SAU is not affiliated with SAUWA. Maybe a pure club forum could be started under that plan.

Oh crap then id have to become a member wouldnt i.

is that because it is no longer a learning curve and more like a big dollar money making industry?

i like the idea how the forums can only be accessed if you have an invite or a referral from at least one member who has been here for say, more than 3 months.. this stops di(kheads from joining and then inviting 20 of their mates.. but is this feasible? do we wanna go that far?

    • For once a good news  It needed to be adjusted by that one nut and it is ok  At least something was easy But thank you very much for help. But a small issue is now(gearbox) that when the car is stationary you can hear "clinking" from gearbox so some of the bearing is 100% not that happy... It goes away once you push clutch so it is 100% gearbox. Just if you know...what that bearing could be? It sounding like "spun bearing" but it is louder.
    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve.
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
