Take them out and get at them with a pressure hose, gerny etc

YEAH if your car is going to be used as a TAXI :headshot:

Mate i would not do that, Being a motor trimmer myself i would not advise anyone to do this. What will happen is water will eventually rust away the seat frame itself and saturate the foam which will cause it to slowly fall apart and your car will eventually always smell damp mildew will form and your arse will get wet. Also it would take days in the sun or under lights to dry.

The best thing to do is grab yourself Soap and water is the best thing to

A Bucket any interior including Leather

A Scrubing Brush forget armaroil and all that crap

Some Soap They do more bad then good...

And Some Warm Water

and start scrubing

or you could go buy some of that upholstry cleaner crap from Autoone ect and give it a go.

Cheers Bro

This is also a bad idea if your seats are electrical.

The best thing you can do is grab your self.

This is the best thing to use on any interior upholstry including leather although you will also need to condition leather as well.

To all you guys that use armaroil and all that crap Stop your killing your interior very slowly.

Are you talking about leather? or all the plastics aswell.

if so, then teach us Obi-wan.....

Do not use ANY silicone based product on anything in your car. When the product dries up, the silicon starts to shrink and can, eventually, dry out your dash and crack.

Only use a non-silicone, UV protectant, product just ask your car accessories supplier.

PS: Hey Jayson, How have you been? I am trying to get my car back together b4 the interstate meet up in May, so hopefully we could catch up then. :D

My Car came with pretty clean seats (luckily) but still a bit smelly and dirty.

I just grabbed a can of Interior cleaner(Kitten) and cleaned the seats with that foam spray and some warm water on a rag. they came up really good, as for protecting them, I USE SEAT COVERS!

mark :D

The new preen carpet cleaner is sensational. Spray on, wipe off with dry cloth the give a light rub with a damp cloth. Grease and oul stains just disappear.

I was going to reccommend Kenco Shift-It.

Worked a treat on all my seats and headlining.

Spray on, wipe with a damp cloth, then blot with a dry cloth to remove excess moisture.

Gentle enough to use on fabric, and strong enough to clean oil, grease and dirt scum from the engine bay.

(Not sure if I'd want to put carpet cleaner in the engine bay?)

Well I still have'nt received any more detailed shots of my car other than the auction pictures but did get my auction sheet translated by a Japanese exchange student living at a freinds house.....and guess what..."Dirty Inside" was one of the comments :)

Looks like i'm off to buy a bottle of Preen :)

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
