And how come no one's made any comments on the pic that Ghostrider posted above of the black '31 ?

Check these babies out!! :)  :bahaha:

I didn't look because it was a 31.

it's hard to tell with those wheels being black, but they could very well turn out to look like this... (lets see if I got the manage attachments thing right!)

This is a very interesting post.

It's now a fortnight later, since the last thread and still nothing, even for a keyboard socialist like R30 Julie, I would think once in 14 days she would see her PC in operation, like even if just to check emails.

Come on Julie, we are all hangin to see this most rare example you claim to have, if it is as you say, please supply us with some picture evidence.

After all, you did ask for our help finding you a wheel, but even with it on blocks the pic will settle all of our thoughts.

You claim to have pics, if they are prints, get them scanned into a PC somewhere and let us see, any computer cafe will have the tools to do this, or a computer shop would be next if you don't have access to a digital camera.

Let's see what you have got!

What an interesting thread... all you guys seem to be tripping over yourselves to get a look at Julie's car that would more than likely turn out to be something we have all seen before.

On the off chance that it is in fact something unusual i would be very interested in seeing it, and the import papers for it if they are still around.

I have the original import papers for mine when it was imported in Sydney close to 15years ago (i think, haven't looked at them for a while) and i can happily say that mine is one of the first six imported into Aust and have had it for many years now and have done more than enough homework on R30's to know that there was never a GTR version.... mine is a 'GT' version and for Julie to have a 'racing' version would be a very rare thing to find here in Australia as the Japanese would be some what reluctant to let something like a GTR R30 out of the country as mad as they are..

We're not calling you a liar Julie, it's just that we are skeptical of what you may, or may not have there... :)

    • Have you confirmed its the actual axles? Also the wheel bearings that mount on the hubs to hold the axles wear out. I replaced mine as they got play in them. It sorted my play issue.
    • Ive converted a few clusters for the R33 with 320km/h dials. On the back there are some pads which can be bridged or unbridged (using solder or wick braid) to calibrate it. There is one bridge which is for MPH <> KPH; and there are combinations of bridges to offset it. There is probably a diagram  For example; this is my conversion for a 180km/h dial to a 320km/h dial (I put custom GT-R dials on it with the GTS25t layout) If you have J2 soldered (assuming the S clusters have a similar config to the R clusters); you may need to remove that solder
    • Back on topic 😉, these are some of the notable pages from the booklets that are supplied with each weekly parts update. I never knew the BNR32 test mule car had an S13 Silvia body...
    • This. A 3d wheel alignment is like $120...just take it to the shop. Since theres probably multiple adjustments that need to be made after changing something. Mine has front/rear lower arms, traction rods, tension rods, camber arms, toe arms, front upper arms, hicas kit, sway bars and coilovers. I measure from the edge of the bolt holes on the originals and set the same length on all the adjustable stuff to dial it as close as I could to OEM. Took it straight for alignment; it didnt feel right at all...after alignment, it feels perfect. Similarly i've just changed the springs on another car; and I still needed multiple adjustments to bring it back in spec.
