Hi Ouch,

Like my original post says this was a year ago.

When my car got broken into last year it was the police that called me and told me about it. They were nice about it and met me in front of my car. They told me what had happened and said if they found anything else they would call me.

I know you are frustrated but really there isnt much they can do. Its not like they can ramdomly drive the streets and look for your car. I guess it is for situations like this that people have insurance. Good luck I hope you find your car.

As for Hotspots, ive had my car broken into at Macquarie, Strathfield and keyed in the city and Hurstville. You have to accept that cars like ours are a popular target. There isnt really much you can do guys but to try to park it in a secure place. Now I pretty much park at friends places or I drive my shitter around.

Cheers

Thx, man! Well, still finding it, didn't get too much sleep these days. had a few calls but I went though all the area that ppl say that saw my Car, still couldnt find it. ANyway, will keep on searching. Hope I can find it.

I dont know what i can say now. the parts that I ordered, its all in my place now. look at these parts, i'm starting to cry like a baby. I have never ever like that b4. I dont know how, just happened. I spent most of my money and half free time to work on that car. But now....

WEll, still gonna finding it. After this time, I will never ever ever live in a apprment again. Buy a house first and buy myself a R34 GTR after. This weekend is my 21th birthday. Never think about b4 that i will lost my R32 GTR. Dammm....... But as my mum told me, lucky i'm still young.

Sorry I wrote a lot of shxt, but just wanna to say something. Still try to find it, never gonna give up.

No, I dont have insurance. Coz I dont drive that car much. Only like once a week or the time I have to drive it to workshop. The fuxk thing is its a 89 GTR, and I think all the 89 GTR owners know that u have to repair a few thing b4 u give it a hit. Until the car got stolen, b4 that about 1 week. I fix all the small little thing in this car, change all the oil and replace a new ABS unit. I was thinking next long week to drive it and give it a hit. Coz a lot of parts I will receive in this week. And also this weekend is my 21th birthday. I stay in Sydney about 3 years my myself, use to be live by myself. Cars are the only thing that can stay with me and let feel not that loney by stay in a country. That's another reason I'm working so hard and try to change cars every year. But now it just Fuxk at all.

But thx Dave. I knew the feeling. Well, next time, doesn't matter if i buy an old R32 gtr or a new R34 gtr, I will buy insurance, even if i only drive the car once a year or i had the best alram in the world. At least i know it is insured. Well, A big lesson in my life at this moement.

Aya.

Im sorry to hear bout ya loss. Must feel errible. IM a Police Officer in Hurstville and i will check up on the system for you. If u need any updated info from the police perspective let me know and i will see what i can do. If it makes you feel any better 95% of sttolen cars are recovered in some way or another. Its the small 5% that end up being rebirthed etc so the chance of you gettin the car back is high. Once again sorry and good luck.

Thank you, Reidles. I know I might find my car one day, coz things like Sky34 and Joe found there Skylines these days with missing a few parts. But at least they found their cars. We all love skylines. Just wana my car back even it miss a few parts. My girl friend said these days I totally loose my mind at all. I have never been crzay as that. She cried last night in front of me. I have been shocked from my heart. It more like i lost my baby. God.... What am i talking about?

But Sir, I feel better as u say 95% of stolen cars are recovered in some way or anothers. I believe police will help me a lot. GOD! Please let me find my gtr......

Sorry to hear about it man... i will keep a look out for you.. perhaps may i suggest if its not too late putting up some pictures on paper and putting them around strathfield etc.

U might get lucky and get a call with more info?

Also there is a Shell accross the road maybe they might have footage of the incident that night... might be best getting the police to check those tapes.. (if they have the time).

hey man....sorry to hear abt ur car but i'm so F***** Happy to hear that those F*****S got caught man!!! i think we shud all get together n ask for this matter to be further investigated in regards wit all our skylines being stolen withing the last 2 months or so...maybe it cud lead to something, u neva kno!!! Wat do you guyz think???

I saw a black R32 at the end of a street near my house today which looked a bit similar, but then again, to me, all R32's do (I didn't really have time to observe the car for long as I was driving, so I don't even remember what wheels it had, but my instinct is that I would definitely remember VOLK TE37s). I will try to drive past that street again tomorrow.

    • That was the first session so not a lot to take from the day. It was low 20s ambient and the coolant had got to 110 (and obviously had some pressure!) so that still needs to be addressed. I haven't downloaded the data yet but will. I had refilled the auto trans with Redline DT6 because it claimed the best viscosity I could find at 100o. It wasn't really long enough to get a good feel for that; while the trans got to 100o in the session it still wasn't shifting crisply as I hoped. I think I'll try a few more sessions before judging. No steering motor overheat but I'd hope not in only 1 session! But finally the suspension; it was night and day over the standard stuff and the car was a couple of seconds quicker on the same crappy tyres, which is a huge difference. I'll stick with that and get some sway bars and a mechanical diff sorted too and see how that all goes together
    • I guess it’s partially a compromise of how my car is used, wanting to be able to switch from drift to grip with track side on-car adjustment. Also partially with the way the knuckles are set there is more static camber but less dynamic camber gain.
    • OK, so update from the track day on Friday It was a classic "an unfortunate series of events'. There were a few cars around and when i checked my mirror coming out of the fish hook I notice some smoke from the rear of mine. Looked again and it was getting much worse, I figured I'd blown a turbo or something to got off it and pulled off the racing line. However.... since it is a left hairpin into a right kink, I was on the inside of the next corner. There was a car passing me on the left and a big drop off over the ripple strip on the right......and someone had knocked the witch's hat that was on the apex about 1m onto the track. So, between those 3, I decided to mow down the cone and not damage my car/the other car. Right choice, but surprising result.  The car decided the cone was a small pedestrian so it blew the rear bonnet hinges up to protect their head in the upcoming person to car impact....I didn't see that coming and like an airbag deployment it happened super fast. Straight into the pits from there, everything was driving fine but it became clear it was a coolant leak not smoke, it was billowing up onto the windscreen. Onto the trailer and home. I'll do a separate thread about the repair (once I work out what it is ), but the immediate problem was the bonnet wouldn't open because the front was pinched onto the front bar and would not release. Ultimately we unbolted the hinge from the bonnet, pulled it back a little and it released from the front OK. "There's your problem", the top radiator hose had popped off at the radiator.
    • Yeah that looks like great caster, but I'd suggest trying less front camber some time and seeing if it helps with braking without reducing mid corner speed too much
    • I ended up setting the rear 5mm higher than normal to give some clearance.  My plan is to run the least camber I can in the rear which I think with the extra width is going to need to be -1.75 to -2.00° just to get clearance.  Guards have been rolled and pulled as much as they can/I would be wanting to.  front has the Acostal knuckle with the KPI change and the drop etc. So should be okay with the existing settings I have run with AR1s etc Front: Toe total -2mm(1mm out each side) Caster +7.5° Camber -3.8° Ackerman +15°
