old 93 skyline with cheap mods like bleed valve and high km's... not something I would buy myself.

I think you paid to much.

You idiot, please explain how 116,000kms is HIGH for a 1993 vehicle, oh wait it's 9,600kms/year, that's so high! :assclown:

And what is wrong with a bleed valve ? They do the job!

GTR Body Kit owners > Purists

1989 GTR's > True purists who won't buy scrape yard crap.

You whinge and bitch about GTR kitted Gtst's, yet you own an 89 GTR. Maybe you chose not to notice people with R32 GTR's newer then 1990, who argue you tight asses are devaluing their newer cars.

You’re possibly the only one this forum who post’s your GTR kit rubbish, and the only people who notice and reply are the ones having a go back at you.

Danieltangtc, Nice car mate. Not a bad price either, I sold my R32 only 6 month’s ago for $16k

I like more Skylines with GTR kits, makes people think my GTR is just a ricer car, then KABOOM, smash em :) hehe

I only got my skyline three days ago.

I was looking to get a nice R33 like yours, but got a shitty R32 GTR instead, for $17,000. I'm happier with the performance than the low kms and nice looks that yours has over mine, depends what you after I guess. Nice looks indeed :D, good buy.

I had decided to let it go actually, but you've risen above to show me what an incompetent twat you are.

Until *today* it was actually impossible to import an r32 GTR under any other rule but the 15 year rule. Thanks for calling my car "junk yard scrap", I'm used to it, I used to drive an s13 (sr20det) that smoked the shit out of anything without a gtr badge on it. :D

You may have said it out the window of your boat to me in that car too, perhaps?

I can see why you have a lot to be angry about, kid.

Anyway, good luck being a moron in the future.

psybic: There is a lot of people who think the r32 shape is a lot sexier than the r33 :D

Why do you think r32's are quite high in value for their age compared to the r33s?

just quickly, are you smoking glue by any chance? i've never heard another owner of a 32 gtr refer to their car as shitty.. maybe you need to look into some kind of drug rehab or something. but good luck with that :)

I think he's referring to the mechanical/physical aspects of his car as being shitty, not that R32 GTR's are shitty. But hey. for $17k as long as it doesn't need a new engine or gearbox i wouldnt be complaining!

Is it just me or does his car have r33 gTs25t Series 2 Headlights and Bonnet? But its got a series 1 front bar hmmmmmmm, and what GTR grill i don't even see a grill. hahahah think i'm going blind too much porn...

For $16.5k with those mods i think its a decent price to pay IMO

my 2 cents

Congratulations. You've managed to turn a new car thread into a slinging match about GTR bodykits and old 89 GTR's. Seriously, slap yourself in the head and get a grip on reality. You seriously have issues.

You’re a complete idiot. I said what out my boat? If by boat you mean R33, I don’t own one.

I never called your car junk; I’ve never seen it. My point was, you bad mouth Gtst drivers who have GTR body kits, as you think it some how make’s your GTR less elite? I followed suit and said you 89` GTR owners do the same to people who own newer ones, who believe the 89 bandwagon people make their cars less “elite and cheaper”.

What do I have a lot too be angry about? And how can you see it? Good on your and your S13. I had the black 10 second Silvia that’s been in a few Magazines doesn’t make me any more “E-Cooler”.

Congratulations.  You've managed to turn a new car thread into a slinging match about GTR bodykits and old 89 GTR's.  Seriously, slap yourself in the head and get a grip on reality.  You seriously have issues.

Wrong buddy, read page one, and get off the bandwagon.

I agree with NismoBoy and will break down why.

Enthusiasts dont buy 89 GTR's.

Enthusiasts dont become bothered about what other people do to their cars.

Enthusiasts generally keep their cars for more than a year.

Shame on you Pentae for constantly bitching about GTR peices on GTST's. If a guy has a $200k+ Maserati and puts massive porsche brake discs on it for track work would you say the same to him?

Again, Shame on you for your narrow minded views and pointless posts.

Back on topic, this car was an excellent buy. Congrats to you!

"just quickly, are you smoking glue by any chance? i've never heard another owner of a 32 gtr refer to their car as shitty.. maybe you need to look into some kind of drug rehab or something. but good luck with that "

Not smoking glue.

Two points:

a) I don't talk my car up when there is no need. It has some shitty paint work and a hole in the exhaust, I consider that shitty. You might accept a f#&k off hole in your exhaust as cool, but I have some sort of standards with such things.

B) I did say I was happy with my car, but whether I am happy or unhappy with it, doesn't really make me a crack head does it? I was just saying this guys car looks nicer than mine and is probably in better mechanical condition.

Thanx for your positive feedback... :bs!:

What are you on about?  I'm with you.  Re-read my post.

Oh and claiming your dad's car as your own is not cool.

Sorry miss read/ understood your 1st post :P

I’m claiming the car as mine, as it was after the last magazine write up. Every one with-in the Queensland car scene knows this, nor do I take credit for the work as mine.

It was owned and paid for by my old man, after the racing, and the publicity I took it over, as he went off to play with Porsche’s. Then I on sold it to a dude in WA, quite a while ago.

    • Ha, well, it's been.... a bit of a journey. Things have taken much longer than I'd hoped. I'll probably put up a thread at some stage. Hopefully soon. The car's not done any kms since my update in June though, put it that way.
    • Here's the chart for fuel pressure vs. current draw, assuming your base fuel pressure is 3 bar and you run like 0.5bar boost on WOT, you should only momentarily hit 9amps here and there. (Ignore my prev post, I cannot read a chart these days it seems)
    • Those comp test results are not hideous. Whether they are accurate or not (ie, when that comp tester says 140 psi, is the real pressure120, 140 or 160?) is unknown to us. The state of the battery used to crank it over is unknown, etc etc. Many people around here would say that the absolute values and the spread are perfectly fine to just add boost and keep going. I personally would be happier with a narrower spread than that, but even the diff between 125 and 145 is not terrible. That one cylinder at 125 though, has probably copped some damage relative to the others. You should inspect the valves seeing as you've got it open. Do you know how to measure installed ring gaps? That, and an inspection of the rings themselves, is how you will determine whether they need to be replaced. If you're not good to do these things, take the block and the pistons and rings to a shop that is, and ask them for the go/no-go on them. Do the bores need a hone at all? If so, you might well be justified in getting some different pistons in order to get away from the ring supply problem. Whether you're happy to spend a lot more money right now, on more gear, rather than less money, but an amount that looks stupid given that you will only get a handful of rings in exchange for that money, is for you to decide.
    • also possibly backed up to my filler and shat down it! 🤣
    • Ok so i would love some advice here please, i purchased an R33 a few months back and its had a few mods done to the engine, its an RB25det running a Master ECU, 1200cc injectors, bigger turbo, oil cooler, oil filter relocation kit, Spool H-beam rods, acl/ross pistons. When i removed the motor from the vehicle (as its getting a respray) i thought i would compression test it and these are the following results. Cylinder 1-145psi, Cylinder 2-143psi, Cylinder 3-125psi, Cylinder 4-145psi, Cylinder 5-140psi, Cylinder 6-135psi this test was done with the motor on the ground and powering up the starter motor. I dropped the sump and found broken oil squirters on cylinder 3,5 and 6. I was told my rings are probably worn so i stripped the motor completely to get a new set of rings for it. The trouble is no one has these rings anywhere and they have to be custom made by Ross over in the states and will cost about $600+$200 delivery. My question is how can i tell if my rings are at fault and if they are still ok and is this price ok for a set of rings?
