ive made up my mind when i finish my series 4 i will start saving up for a gtr but im just wondering how much gtrs will be in two years time? and anyone here have third party insurance on their gtrs as i will only be 21 yrs old by then maybe (tried asking shannons) but they just rejected me

i ll be seeing you guys in two yrs hopefully

haha funny! no im being serious ive spent too much on my rx7 and its starting to really turn me off and i always wanted to buy a skyline but settled with the rx7 two years ago so it was like stepping stone for me plus ive been in a r32 vspec II with just pon cams a turbo kit and a pfc and that was pretty quick even though the car was spluttering

Just don't spend up on your 'substitute' car, wait till you have the one you want.

what dso you mean?

im wondering whats the cheapest i can get? as im only going for a pfc and maybe hi flowed turbos but atm thats still a dream for me lol

he means that if the rx7 is a stepping stone to the GTR, you should not be spending money on the rx7 otherwise you'll be standing on that stone forever.

really?...how much do you think GTRs will go for in the next 2 yrs?...as when i ll sell my rx7 later and buy the gtr i want some money to maybe buy a gps system,hi flow the turbos and put a pfc on it with maybe full 3inch mufflers and that will be ALL

A lot changes in two years!

I should have my GTR landed for under $20000 I doubt they'll drop that much below that barring huge fuel price increases / Wars / new fuel technologys in that time :)

Also get used to spending money on your 'Performance' cars, that is part of the game unfortunately....if its pissing you off spending money on your RX7 now, you are going to be well pissed when you have to spend money on your GTR (and you will!) :( as parts etc are generally much higher....

ive seen on prestige the lowest is 14,900 not incl compliance and stamp duty that has been sold...compliance anyone can do it..is it like changing fuel filters, tyres, put side intrusion bars etc? then just get a engineers cert and then im not sure what happens from there...

but with a GTR i can enjoy it,they are more practical to drive then say a rx7 with a big turbo and ported motor.....under 20k? specs and condition if u dont mind me asking?

with the GTR i pfc should cost me 800-1100,full 3inch polli 800 for stainless?...a set of forged pistons will be around 2k...havent checked for gaskets as i havent got the car as yet...would most likely hi flow the turbos have to ask turbologic or GCG one time...so in the end of the day i would be more happy with the GTR then a rx7...and i like the feeling of the attessa lol

shannons are gay :)

i asked them for a quote and they said 'try just car or something mate'.

went to just car, and got full comp for $1823 for the year. how cheap is that :)

r32gtst with 20g's of mods :)

that's over $800 cheaper than my old stock r33 series1

wouldnt the end of the 15 yr rule mean the prices would go up?? ive seen them pretty cheap but im not sure how much its gunna be to bring them in when the prices go back up and you cant bring them in modified.

you can now import R32's under sevs, regardless of changes to 15 year rules, we should be able to import em in the future. As it stands you'll be looking at spending about $4000 more. Plus the car has to be stock. However this means you can import V Spec II's and other cars that were previously unavailable as they weren't 15 years old.

people are dreaming if they think they will get a good cond GTR for 20k

I must be in Dreamworld then!..?

From the pictures I've been sent mine seems to be in great cond for under 20G's :(

Mechanically I can not comment as yet...but i'm planning on doing plenty of mods anyway so really dont give a rats :P

yeah why not 2 years? im a student lol and plus during them 2 years i ll have the most fun driving the rx7....well i know someone who got a vspec II gtr for around the 30s very straight body so voona i think your the person dreaming lol....94 model...33 running gear....even checked the compliance plate thing....

received email from prestige he said under SEVS will cost me 4500 inc tyres...does that come a compliance plate? and SEVS doesnt incl stamp duty and all that isnt it....

yeah, dean at UPI's compliancing an R32 for us (well J-spec's client anyways) as the initial car, once that's done R32 GTR's should be compliancable by him unders SEVs. you should be fine in 2 years time.

i will go though prestige as Geoffs prices sounds reasonable.

what are ORC's mean as he said the GTR will cost around 16-17k plus modifications and ORC...did want to be a timewaster as i have to save up in the next 2 yrs...

another question for you guys

is a GPS system good enough for a GTR to keep it safe?...as i think i wont be getting full comp but third party, fire and theft.

    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
