Folks, I'm selling my GTR 32 for $20,000. A lot of you will recognise it as the previous PR car for Chasp Racing. I payed $36k for it late last year, registerd it in November 2004 the motor failed in February 2005.

According to my mech the big end is gone. The engine is still in the car. Unfortunately I can't afford to get it fixed and I can't afford to keep it.

The cost of replacing the engine with a stock rebuild with forgies is $6k + $2k for the out/in of the engine. The costs go up from there.

i feel your pain! its such a nice car and its so cheap. Shouldnt be too hard to sell because if anyone does the maths, after rebuilding, its still a bargain! Good luck with it!

Yeah, this is a seriously nice car, and if I could afford to I would buy it without thinking.

If anyone has the money and is looking for a hot R32 GTR, this car takes the cake.

  • 2 weeks later...

Aside from a damaged engine(and only certain bits,at that:there's plenty of goodies on this one!),I'll back this car $100 as a dead-set bargain buy. Richard has looked after this ride like a family member, and it's only pure bad luck that it's here in the For Sale section. Whoever may consider buying this car would be VERY happy with it,once you sort a motor!

Us ACT boys we'll be damned if we let this car go without giving it a plug.

I've been in this car on several occasions, and watched work being done on it.

I've had several runs against him on a few occasions and its one damn fast car (it dissapeared from sight within a few seconds).

Its immaculate from the ground up, in every aspect and Richard has looked after it beautifuly.

The stereo has entertained us on cruises (doors open at bbq's and we had our tunes).

Its just a shi**y series of events and none of us want to see it go, if you have the chance to come and look at it, take it! you wont be dissapointed!

I apologise - Sale on temporary Hold. My bad.

It's harder to for me to part with than I imagined. Will take some down time to reconsider options.

Thanks Guys, Very keen interest shown by many and alot of full price offers - appreciated.

No I have not employed a PR team but the cheques are in the post for your kind comments.

I need a few more days to sort it.

Richard, i can understand your reluctance to sell it and I always regret selling all the ones I have had.

But it's time to move on so sell it to me dammit !! hehehe :( My client is still keen

Seriously, I would be looking for a good s/hand engine and put it back togehter.

You will tear up less money than if you sold it in the condition it's in as you told me how much you payed originally.

That is a lot to throw away...

Cheers

ken

    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
    • You have a knack for photography my friend. It makes the 86 look like a complete bucket. The 34 went with you to Europe and back. It's special. (we all feel the same about our 'shitboxes' that every bystander seems to absolutely love)
