The White team began the final day in first place and held on to win six minutes clear of Greg Garwood and John Allen in a turbo Porsche 911.

Jim Richards and Barry Oliver in a Porsche GT3 CS were another 13 minutes further back in third place, well ahead of the rest of the field who were more than nine hours behind the winners.

that's six seconds ahead of 2nd place, 39 seconds ahead of Richards, and 9 minutes back to the rest of the field. Nine hours! NFI!

great to see the Whites finally get the win, but local knowledge is a big factor there.

slicks on the front for the last day

ice and snow on the road

buggered clutch 2 nd day

replaced over night

yeah the conditions up at Arrowsmith were amazing!

I'm surprised you got through a set of fronts tho, were'nt you running the dunlops? or not in the hard compound?

And I bet the clutch was fun, did you find a local hoist to help out? working in the silverdome was a PITA

At Burnie they were onthe front we swaped them to the back to avoid the canvas

on the last day

We missed doing Arrowsmith fast as we stopped at Rooklyn big crash about 5 klms in to the stage

The service crew we shared with Coads and three others had truck with a ramp that you could work under

started at 10.30 finished about 3.00 had an old clutch, down past the rivets,that we threw in It lasted O K

Tyres! Had a gamble on yokohama AO48s M compound Too many dry day

lost the gamble

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
