hey matt,

hopefully ill run a mid 13 with the 33 tho.she is only on a safe tune so i mite even see redcliff b4 i go

Good luck, would the rx7 have a head start?

BTW josh, the haltech E6K is mid-range haltech.

E11v2 is the top range model.

I'll be chancing it & heading out with a mate with an Evo 6..... (grudge match!!)  hehe

lol

GTR CAM, have you ran the evo 8 before?

I ran my evo 4 out at willowbank and clocked a 12.6 with similar power

we could have had a meet up and a yarn.

anyway - sold last night regretfully.

moving onto a GTR next.

Would have been good to see you & have a chat, I had fun going home with the EVO 6, especially thru Toowong... hehe

Yeah I've been out to Willowbank in the 8 with 1500 klms on the clock, stock as a rock and did flat 14's, but was doing 2.2+ 60 footers all night as I wasn't game enough to test the clutch!! So the claims that a stock car does 13.8's is about right.

I'm aiming for mid 13's atm & high 12's when I get the exhaust!

I see your the opposite of me hey, going from an EVO to a GTR...

Cheers Cam

hey man i think me and a few mates will be heading up this wednesday, ill keep you posted.

wat time do the gates open?

gates open 5.30 rod, im getting there around 5 though! As sometimes they let ppl in early and you will get way more runs being first there....if your gonna go, let me know and we'll cruise down together..k

Matt

hi guys

i dont have my gtr yet, and sold the evo, but will come out and watch.

i'll get some pics and vid for you.

i'll keep my eye out for lines and may come introduce myself.

Im a big fella with red hair

Michael

For all those that went tonight, I was the white skyline that threw a rod on the track...yep lol, an expensive rebuild is coming my way earlier than what I expected. On the upside it will be built tougher this time to withstand that sort of punishment.....On the downside, i've only had the car under a month and i've been threw an engine...thats not promising. Anyway, hope everyone else had a good time and thanks soooooooo much to rod who drove me home and bought me food, your a champ and tell your misses I hope she got her sleep

cheers, Matt

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
