Hi ppl,

Heres a run down of what happened, yesterday morning house cleaners came over my place, for some cleaning, i opened the garage door n let them in. As i had to go to work they told me they would close it. As my housemate was there i didnt bother that much my rims were in the garage. During lunch time my housemate went to pick up his gf n had lunch took 3 hrs. When he came back the house cleaners were gone, the afternoon appoinment for CARPET cleaning was finished, my garage door was closed n rims were GONE!

I called both the carpet n house cleaners n both denied taking them. What should i do? Maybe some one came by saw the garage door opened n took them? VERY-VERY pissed, they were 6 months old.

There are 18" Lenso Muse Rims (silver chrome) with falken tyres. I need a favour from u guys, if u hear anyone selling this rims please let me know. I am reporting this to the police tomorrow.

that's shocking man!

for someone to walk past, see the garage door open and pinch the wheels is a hefty job. They would've heard people inside and probalby wouldn't have had the guts to do it, i know i wouldn't... but i aint a thief, so i don't know how they think.

Was there anybody else who knew that nobody was going to be home? It just seems too far fetched that someone walked past and saw them and nabbed em! I'd be looking at the cleaners personally... but that's what i think. Best of luck man!

thanks guys,

i already called the people of both the house cleaners and carpet cleaners, both denied on taking them. I know that my rims are pretty common, and chances of getting them back r zip! But its farked tho, broad daylight, 4 rims n no one saw! Guess we have to be careful of everything nowadays.

yes trust no one indeed, thats what u get for being an honest tax paying bloke, get farked over! dang... still pissed, no the house was rented SirSkyline. They were my bling rims actually, i already have a set of 17" on for drag n track days.

But do you have contents insurance on the rented house ???

If the house cleaners were gone first, did u ask if the carpet cleaners saw the rims?If not then most likely it could of been them. But then again there's no proof.

I doubt that somebody would happen to stroll along and with a blink of eye see a set of rims and tax em,whilst u have a bunch of people working at your house.

Anyway man i'll keep an eye out for yah!

thanks a lot ppl... n SirSkyline, no i dont have contents insurance on the house. Bad luck... just happened again... read the next thread.

Mate get some contents insurance it will only cost you 20 bucks a month and then if it happens again your covered

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
    • I feel there must have been a FB/insta post and the weekend did not start well at all I hope everyone is all okay
    • Yeah, I guess its pretty easy to get to if this doesn't work. Just wait till next oil change and pull it out. I am going to have to do the oil pan gasket soon and thought I'd just replace it while I was there.  Thanks
    • All that matters is you're safe and you were able to type that post. Hopefully heaps of parts you can recover for the next shell.
