Yeah mate - we can do it all on the day if you like. Just get there a bit early.

I'm already signing a couple of others up in the morning as well. So if you are keen send off one of the entry forms and where it asks for a CAMS license number just put in there TBA.

Nuts! Snowie, any chance you can squeeze me in? I'll join SAU vic just for this if I have to! I'm DYING to get out on the track.

Roy said you were a track Junkie. Maybe we can form a support group.

Hi, I'm Geoff and I'm a Track Junkie. I have been cold the sphincter of the universe for 6 months :sob: and I'm really struggling.

Sweet. So I still have to get in contact with the WRX club to confirm a placing?

Hahaha! I'm beyond a junkie. Missus calls me a 'track day wh0re'. But I'll gladly join the "track junkies anonymous" support group.

I'm Toulia and I'm a track junkie. My wife left me because I remember every single corner of the race track but forget out childrens names.

Yeah the first post in this thread contains the information to enter. We don't actually have any influence or anyting with these track days - we just use them as the basis of our own club championship.

So if you want to enter you have to do it all through the WRX Club. I can just get you the club membership and the CAMS license no worries.

;)

Another NSW lad heading south ;)

When are you driving down...? My car is sitting fully loaded in Chatswood, just need to get out of these hotels/airports and pick it up:)

Im looking at driving down tomorrow...but if you have other plans give me a bell on 0408 409 068, a convoy makes the drive a lot easier...plus with work continuiong to dictate my life then my plans always seem to chnage..

end feeling soprry for myself:(

Faxed my papers to WRX club and now waiting.

I'm heading down on Friday night. I'm travelling with a convoy. I've got a soccer tornament to play on Sat and Sun. I'll play Sat but I'll give the final (if my team gets that far) a miss.

Track day > soccer grand finals.

I'll just tell them I got wasted on Sat night and woke up at 3pm in the afternoon. hehehe...

I drove my car again for the first time in a long time with the plugs gapped and the evc5 hooked up. Seems to be going ok but I was wondering what sort of fuel pressure reg to use because I have heard from a lot of people that malpassi regs are s**t. Also hope I can get the car dyno'd on saturday morning just to be safe. Should be a good day if it doesn't rain. See you all there.

I see Crazy Frank has been added to the all-star line up for this clubsprint ;)

Looks like all the big guns are coming out for this one, Ben's GTR, Nigel's Supra, Frank's GTR, Jack's bling bling GTR, and of course Andrew's first time attack at this circuit since his turbo upgrade now pushing over 300kw at the treads ;)

This will be a ripper event, for both drivers and spectators! Hoping the weather is good for it

There's also Chris's GTR, Aarons GTR and Gareths first time out in his GTR. Honestly I will be doing well to keep these 3 behind me for the day.

Also I'm looking forwards to seeing which ever of Geoff's toys come (both hold a certain appeal) and am really looking forwards to seeing how Lee Wilson stacks up against the busted up 32 special. Lee Wilson's car was super impressive last outting at Winton so he will be a good carrot for the mad Welshman.

Snowie, much as I would like I'm not racing. At this stage I'm not allowed to track the GTR (at THIS stage), and I have guests all weekend so I'll drop in to watch a bit and support the team.

Straight off I think it's good for 4 seconds at Sandown over my best time of 1:31. Power FC and semis, even more will come off that but I may never get the opportunity with my current schedule to leave.

Going over tonight to hopefully finish it off. So will be ready either tonight or tomorrow. All the bits are done just have to put it together.

So no Supra drives for me. Unless Nige wants to let me use it for a session! LOL (I know you read this thread Nige! haha!)

:)

    • So stock ECU does not like anything above 10 psi?  That Nistune one is just for "try" if it will be any different, I know it need to be tune for that. I know but YOU may know about these problem but i/we dont. They few little Skylines here let alone people who know anything about tham so that is why iam asking here
    • So now we have a radiator with no attachments whatsoever. It lifts up with a particularly tight spot between the drivers side air box mount and the lower radiator outlet, but if you've got this far you will sort that too. This is the lower mounts with the rad out so you can see where the rubber bushes go, it is a straight shot upwards Done! Assembly is the reverse of disassembly, with blood less likely to be shed.
    • Right, onto the second last trick. The Air Con condenser is mounted to the front of the radiator and stays in the car when the radiator is removed. There are 2x 10mm headed self tappers holding the top of the condenser to the radiator, remove those The bottom of the condenser is attached to the radiator with clips. You need to lift the condenser out of those clips and clear (up, then forward). f**ked if  could work out how to do that last bit with the front bumper on. I hope you can, and you share the trick.  Bumper removal probably deserves its own thread one day once I've recovered the will to live, but basically you need to remove the wheels, front inner guard liners (clips and 10mm headed bolts), the self tapper between the guard and the bumper at the rearmost point of the bumper (same as an R32 that bit), any remaining clips at the top/front of the grill, an absolute bastard design with a plate that holds the top of the bumper above the headlight each side (only 1 bolt which is tricky to get to, but the plate catches 2 places on the bumper and must be removed....carefully!) and push clips between the bumper and guard under the headlight. If you've done all that you will be faced with wiring for the fog lights on both sides and in ADM Q50 RS at least, 4 nasty tight plugs on the driver's side for the ADAS stuff. So, the clips at the bottom look like this on drivers side (looking from the front) And on the passenger side (also from the front), you can see this one is already out Clearance on both of these are super tight; the condenser needs to move up but the upper rad support mount prevents that, and the radiator can't move down far because it is (rubber) mounted. Once you achieve the impossible and drop the condenser off those mounts so it does not stop the rad moving, you are good to go
    • OK, next the shroud needs to come off and there are a couple of tricks. Firstly, there is a loom from near the passenger side headlight to the fans, coolant temp sensor etc and there is no plug to undo.  In my case I was OK to leave the shroud on top of the engine so I just undid the passenger side fan plug and about 10 of the clips which gave enough free wire to put it aside. The fan plugs were super tight, the trick I used was a small falt screwdriver to push down on the release tab, then a larger flat screwdriver to lever the plug out of the fan unit....be careful with how much force you apply! If you need to remove the shroud altogether for some reason you will have to deal with all the plugs (tight) and clips (brittle)....good luck. I removed all of the clips and replaced them with cable ties that I will just cut next time. Also, in the Red Sport / 400R at least, the intake heat exchanger reservoir hose is bolted to the shroud in 2 places with 10mm headed bolts; so remove them (the hose stays in the car; no need to undo it at the t fittings down at the radiator lower mount. Once you've dealt with the HX hose and the wiring loom, there are 3x 10mm headed self tappers holding the top of the shroud to the radiator; remove those.   The shroud then lifts out of the bottom mounts where it sits on the radiator, up and onto the engine out of the way. Simples
