Righto:just quickly(as I'm rushing out the door to get to AutoSalon),here's the deal:"Nissan Skyline GT-R" DVD from Duke Video, usually about $39 to $49(at most places...)-$21 to SAU'ers in A.C.T.-you'll have to pick 'em up from me;maybe trivia night or Friday night cruise? Here's the blurb from Duke themselves:

"The original 'beast from the east', the Nissan Skyline GT-R is an icon for power, speed and advanced Japanese automotive technology. With straight-6 engines capable of being tuned to over 1000bhp, 4WD, intelligent torque-splitting differentials, rear wheel steering and enough electronics to keep a space station going, the R-32, R-33 and most recent R-34 models are mechanical 'tours de force'.

But what do they go like and what speeds are they really capable of? Our new DVD traces the GT-R's technical development and tuning options, and then puts you in the hot seat for several memorable rides. How about a lap of the old Nurburgring with 'ringmeister' Dirk Schoysman at up to 190 mph with drifting at 160 mph? Or a ride on a GP track in the ultimate racing Skyline - the Falken Tyres R34? If that's not scared you, an Autobahn blast in a 600 bhp Prospec-NISMO R34 should do the trick!

If you thought only ground-hugging 2-seater sportscars with names like Ferrari, Lamborghini or Porsche could be called 'supercars', think again!"

I own it(naturally...);anyone who want to commit to one,I need numbers NO LATER than Monday 4pm!! Takes about 1 week to get 'em here! Any qustions, call me on 0414 484 171. I'm off to A/S!

LoL...Canberra is expensive. I picked up (an original copy mind you) for 10 bux from a local market! :P

I'll assume you can get a genuine,or at least a pretty good burnt copy, from eBay or the like for less;if so-go for it. Or even your local markets-where I'm sure they sell genuine Rolexes for $50,too. That's your perogative. Besides,as first posted, this is offered to the A.C.T. SAU'ers;so maybe you need to organise an even more wonderful "group buy" elsewhere?!? Righto then;rant over...

For those who want the real deal, read on. These are new, genuine Duke DVD's,straight from the supplier to me. Warranty and all, they'll take about 3-5 working days to get to me from when I place the order. I'm about to have 6 days away from Canberra(no,Gus;you can't have the keys to the GTR or the Forester...),and I was going to place an order on Tuesday morning so they're here when I get back. Seeing as it's only Leech and SupaFly Skyline that've put their hands up,I can do two things:order two copies come tomorrow arvo,or if it's OK with Leech and SupaFly Skyline, leave this posted offer running until I get back,THEN place the order. What say you, gents? I don't mind either way. Oh,yeah:Auto Salon Sydney was pretty cool today...

Money on arrival is fine, gang. As stated earlier,I'll now put the order in next Tuesday(24th);probably see the DVD's on either Friday 27th or Monday 30th,I'd imagine(maybe sooner). If they're here on the Friday,I'll bring 'em out to our usual Friday night gathering,if not,Trivia night will be the go...OK?

    • When you pulled it off, there is no signs of blown head gasket? Is it possible you have some other issues going on? Possible cracked blocked? Or do you think it's straight up lifting the head? Did you check what the head was torqued to before pulling it down (To see if possibly they're stretching, or starting to break threads out etc)?
    • Seems like a decent result for a modded JZX110. They are bulky in comparison to the 100 and 90 models (which I'd prefer myself) but they are getting very few and far between here in JP these days. Thanks for the detailed review and the import process into the UK. I also have a car which I'm hoping to export from Japan at some stage so it's good to know if someone from the UK was interested in it. By the way the corrosion underneath is par for the course for cars which were located in/near the mountains or along the Japan sea coastline. They get huge amounts of snow every winter and the sodium chloride is used on the roads. Many cars have some kind of rubber like treatment underneath but they tend to limit it to the wheel arches underbody and fuel tank. Suspension arms and sub-frames will have similar corrosion to your JZX110 which is a common sight. See it all the time and car dealers here generally don't even mention it unless asked.
    • If the sound goes away when you clutch in, the 1.5/2 way diffs are just shit, and you are a normal person. The diff is likely "fine" but driving at anything under 30kmh is a violent horrible experience. It would be exaggerated with solid diff bushings and subframe bushings if you have those.
