hay guys as it says i need anew clutch,

On the weekend i went to the drags with ash and a few other boys and stuffed the clutch buy frying it hard and now slips after 4000 in any gear so what should i get?

i have a R33 gts-t running aroung 220rwkw when boosted back up

i would like to know where to get it fitted and how much a new clutch will cost in total( drive in drive out all fixed) yes i am in melbourne and will travel most places.

Willing to spend say $1000 all up for everything is that enough?

thank guys

( and yes i have read all the post on the patrol clutch and still are a bit unshore of that direction)

I just had one fitted. 5 puck sprung ceramic clutch with upgraded pressure plate. Was $850 all up.

The pedal is now lighter than stock (yes, lighter) and bites like hell. Shudders a bit without enuff revs but I spose thats always going to happen. PM Dr_Drift as he installed mine...

what brand is it?

is sam at his new shop yet?

All the Rumors aside **Nissan Patrol Clutch fits**

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=21958

will suit your car if its 1993 - 1995. should handle what power your throwing at it, work out a bit cheaper and have same pedal feel

i have some one a everlution R looking in to the clutch from the patrol if it does fit cos the part number from that tred does not match the books every one has, so he is going to find one and try to fit it and match it so i might buy one from him.

In the PM he quoted a Nismo clutch plate but may have put a different one in (long story). The pressure plate is custom. It is very streetable. Like I said earlier, the pedal is lighter than stock.

He's still at XTC in Coburg.

hey mate,

sorry to dig this up, but did you end up fitting the patrol clutch?

if so do you have part no. of the clutch fitted? also where did you get the work done and what extra parts were replaced (bearings etc.)?

looks like mine is going, trying to weigh up all my options

cheers

I bough one off Jim Berry in QLD. It uses a gtr pressure plate reworked to just under 4000lbs and a 5 puck centre was $1300 delivered with a machined flywheel. It feels great softer than the Nizmo twin plate that i stuffed and grabs hard.

    • Pads for R32 GTS-t, R32 GT-R non V-Spec (Sumitomo), R33 GTS-t and R34 GT-t are all interchangeable. R34 GT uses a 2x piston caliper, hence it didn't fit.
    • Checked with amayama and nope, the full S2 manual set is not available anymore. Unsurprising, but still disappointing as the ? on availability gave a glimmer of hope.
    • I've heard the Tomei USA head gaskets are decent if you want to o-ring the heads but otherwise not recommended.
    • The 296mm rotors are the R33 turbo brakes. The 310mm rotors are the R34 turbo brakes. The calipers are nearly the same, but not. They're the same caliper but the R34 caliper has longer legs so that it sits out far enough to go over the rotor. The pads are the same for both. When you say, "I bough tsome EBC"....did you just mean pads? Or rotors? 310mm rotors fit under 17" wheels. There may be some wheels without enough clearance though. I can't fit my fingers between the barrel of my wheel and the "corners" of my R34 calipers, but there is plenty of room behind the spokes. This is on Enkei RPF1. You can fit 324mm rotors inside a 17" wheel, but I'd be willing to bet that it would be close to impossible with the Nissan/Sumitomo caliper (using an adapter, of course), because the Sumitomo caliper is fatter than the Brembo caliper that is supposed to go on the 324mm rotors.
    • Hi. Can someone tell me what brakes(and mainly WHERE) can i buy brakes on R34 GTT? I bought some EBC which SHOULD go on my car(i have GT but it has GTT brakes) but it does not fit, Brakes are "too" small(296mm) Are 310mm be good or? I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.
