My boot is naked...!!!

Hey all.

I have removed the rear spoiler on my car and wanted to share the pics with you..

For those who are thinking of doing the same thing, I will say this...

It's not THAT easy..

once you remove it, you get one whole at each end, and 2 small ones and a big one in the middle..

I welded them up from underneath and boged the top and sanded and sanded till the cows came home..

then went over it with a high fill puddy spray, then sanded.

Then undercoat, then sanded, then sprayed in silver a few layers, then clear.

A week later, I had it buffed, then I went home and polished it some more..

Not easy but check out the results...

You'd never be able to tell that there was ever a spoiler there..

On a side note, I have a perfectly good R32 GTST rear spoiler with brake light for sale for anyone interested..

Looks awesome! I reckon skylines look better without spoilers or wings. The job you have done is excellent. You should be proud.

I acutally did all the prep work.

My mechanic did the coats of paint..

I took a week off work and spent my whole time at the mechanic getting things done and the boot was one of them.

My arms were killing me all week from all the sanding..

But it's worth it in the end.., there is no trace of a spoiler ever being on there..

R32's look SO much better without the wing...!

I've taken mine off, get holes fixed when i get the front bar put on.

I have done the same mod to my R32 and it looks heaps better!

I have just got some white gaff tape over the holes at present till I overhaul the bodykit! Looks tough tho

Mine is dropped on it's titties too which makes it look even better!

yeah mine too... all i want now is a nismo rear boot lip which i reckon will look heaps better... once i have that.... i'll fill in the holes... got all the tools here at home inc welder and air sander and compressor which will make sanding much much easier
