Sorry i'll fix that up

My rubber is falken ze 326 series. 2x 255/40/r17, 2x 235/45/r17

Fair amount of rubber left on them, only want $300, EASY road legal, plenty tread left.

The rubber is the same around (40,45) is just worked out on the width... works out the same hieght.

i dont think you understand they have to be EXACTLY the same :uh-huh:

Yup,spot on Leech! Ah well,at least dayne wanted to help! I'm about 48 hours away from having to use my normal, new Pirelli's(which just aren't as good as what I'm after...). Sigh:keep on huntin'...

They dont have to be the same size, just rolling diameter... if you have wider profile a higher profile sidewall could well work... too much pain in the ass calculating though.

Jayce, if $1000 is within your budget, check out the Falken RS-V04. Theyre meant to be fairly good, and alot of jap track cars run them. If you order tomorrow before 2pm-ish from Tempe, they can be here Friday and you can probably get Ed to fit and balance them tomorrow afternoon, or on the weekend some time.

Mmmmmmm  sticky-icky-icky ooooooooooooooo-eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

EDIT: Thats assuming Tempe have them in stock... everytime I have talked to them after a set of RT215's, they have had these in stock (and not the RT215's) and theyre a proper R compound.

I've run the SRVS04s from Tempe, and while they are not the best R tyres they are better than any road tyres. And lets face it, when they are that cheap who cares?

I paid $250 ea in 245/45/17

Stoopid question, but are these tyres DOT/road legal? I might just bite the bullet anyway...

I was about to say "sure all R tyres in Aus are road legal".

But AFAIK Tempe import these direct from Japan so they may never have been tested for compliance. Best to check with them directly.

It really saves hassle when you can drive to and from the track on your race tyres, I've done heaps for trips to Wakefield and back on various R tyres

Thanx Duncan-I reckon this is a goer...I just PM'd Abo Bob re:his tyres;we'll see what transpires, shall we? Either way, bring it on!

so is E and Her forester gonna have a fang round the track? :D

Nup;she's a little banged up after a "racing incident" at Hume Go Karts,plus20" rims that are under-tyred are too much of a risk...if she's up for it,she's welcome to have a steer of the 32...

what hapened at the karts? she flipped one of em didn't she

Nup;taken out by an erant wannabe that wouldn't hold her line-E. was just in the way at the time...

Anyway:onwards to Wakefield!

(Now that I've jinxed myself, watch as my tyres DON'T show up in time to fit 'em up...LOL)

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
