Man, I just wanted to comment on the amount of crazy Commodore drivers with P-plates in Canberra. I come to Canberra pretty reguarly but the last 2 times were pretty werid.

1-Black monaro cv8 with p-plates wanted to give me a run on drakeford, so I have him abit of a squirt, nice guy and gave me a wave when he turned off but.

2-white vy with p-plates really tailgating me on Erindale drive, I was already doing 90 in the 80. So I didn't slow down much while turning left into ashley dr. He had to brake heavily to make the round about. By this time I was already behind another car. This guy goes through the double white line on the wrong side of the road hoons past spray me and a couple cars with rocks and narrowly smacked into on comming traffic.

Are p-platers just getting more crazy in Canberra since I left 5 years ago?

damn I would of hated to be first at the scene if he did hit the on comming car.

lol, I'm inclined to agree, they're crazy. Yesterday a bunch of SUPER MASSIVE bogans in an old rusty VP crapheap who were infront of me started getting up my arse and yelling shit at me after I passed them... So I baited them... The driver wasn't exactly what I'd call... Able, either XD

Long story short I became a dot on the horizon :D

Have to agree..

Once a commondore sees a Skyline or anyother import.. Is like getting an erection.. There up and goin for it...

Its just funny how true it is, ive never had it happen by a falcon driver or anything else... Always a commodore.. pfft

I think its agreeable about young guys and there commodores.... they need to proves themselves. Its the same every tho, I pull up at lights on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane and get the same thing. It quite funny actually, because my 32 is pretty much stock and they still get left behind... :P

Speaking of that

There's a silver VX 'S' that parks in the poiol carpark in Civic with HSV seat covers and a HSV hat on the back parcel shelf..... and a replica "SKAIFE" sticker on the back passenger window V8 supercar stylez

oh and a baby seat in the back.

I hate f@#king magna drivers... almost every bald middle aged man in his "oh crap im having a mid life crisis, i need a sports car but the wife will shoot me if i buy something impartical" magna sports trys to race me... GET OVER IT!!!!

Ha Ha @ RAV4s. How are they gonna race anyone. Frist deviation from dead straight and they are over on the roof!

No shit there's a fair few of them, most of the ones I've seen with a handicapped driving ability have been mostly mostly female in mid to late 20's and driving with a right foot made of lead and coated in titanium.....

Quite like middle aged men in anything with a BMW badge if you ask me.

Rav4's actually go fairly decently for what they are. I mean they wouldn't keep with your average Skyline (my car when it was RB30 could bowl one over no problems) but they'd hand it to anything else that was of the buzzbox 4 cylinder type... cept for stuff like a Pulsar SSS or the like

anyways I'm babbling, back on topic

Commodores, yes that's normal.

I have had them pull up next to me give me that look, and I have thought about it and gone why waste fuel, then we have taken off driving up to about 3,5 or so rpm.

Pull up at the next set of lights just for the dick to go "i thought they would be a lot quicker then that" i looked at him and said hey mate i was only changing at 3,5 the look on his face was priceless. Lights go green good bye dick head bogan 1st 2nd nothing to seen.

    • Nope.    Grab a varex and turn it down as you get close to home, win win?
    • So, I've had my V36 for about a month now and have already copped an "excessive exhaust noise" notification from QLD TMR, reported by someone in my local area. It's a twin as per the original, and can have a bit of a throaty note to it when idling cold 😄 and if I do get up it a bit, it can be noisy, but it did pass a roadworthy inspection before sale, so.... ... but in the interest of being a good neighbour, I do want to quieten it down a bit. Is anyone here running a quiet aftermarket cat-back on their V36 or 370Z? And the big, bold question: does an aftermarket cat-back really make much of a performance difference on these cars?
    • The wiring diagram for the R33 RB25 is freely available, and is essentially the same same as most other RBs (just with differences as to which pin # does which job). To get the ECU to power up, you just need to provide power to the ECCS relay, and have the other power feeds that come in from the top left of the wiring diagram (wrt the ECU) that give perma power to the fuel pump relay, the ECU itself, etc etc, all connected. When you put power on all these it will just come to life. It's pretty clear from the diagram what needs to happen. Just follow the lines from the 12V + supply stuff in the top left over towards the ECU. I've even posted snips of such diagrams (not for vanilla 25, I think for Neo and 26) to various threads here in the last few months, talking about what it takes to get the fuel pump and FPCM up and going. Search these up and they will help get you started on doing the same with the vanilla 25 diagram. Hell, for all I know, I've done the same with that one in years past and have forgotten.
    • Yep...so unless someone posts up the answer you will need to probe from the ECU connector to the dash plug with a multi meter in continuity mode to trace the wires.  Note the ECU has multiple - and + (and across different key settings - Battery, IGN and Start) and most likely the power is fed from the connector(s) that is normally near the left hand headlight.
    • Thanks Duncan, I am actually just trying to get the Rb turning and running with the RB25DET S2 original loom itself  I am just trying to get it going outside the body and not thinking about the S15 or trying to match anything to the S15 loom at all I am only trying to see if anyone has done this and what pin they found to be the ignition trigger and ECU+/- on the dash connector, that's about it. Thanks
