Greetings

I am just about to INVEST in another Skyline. This time I will be returning to the Skyline community with a R33 GTR as my weapon of choice. The car im looking at is a Purple GTR R33 and Im looking to get some personalised plates put on it straight away because I cant have the plates that are on it because the current owner would like to retain them.

I was wondering if you guys could help come up with some awesome personalised plates for me.... So far I have thought of: -

VILENT

EVL GTR

EVL R33 <-- I think thats taken

IM FAST

and a few others that I cant think of just at the moment.

Thanks guys

They're like $300 aren't they?

I really don't see the point in paying that much and getting the extra attention when you can get normal plates for $30 and blend in.

I was going to get slimlines with only 3 or 4 letters so it's a lot smaller so I don't have to bend the the normal size plates, but I figured it's better off just to bend the normal ones and spend that $270 on something else.

Golgo is the codename of a Japanese assassin character from a manga series (and a few movies and animes) - He's the guy in my avatar.

Basically a badass guy who kills people and maks chicks all day.

Just like me :P

BTW: Golgo IS for sale if you are wanting a Purple 33 R...

lol @ jamezilla tryna get anyone and everyone to buy the gtr.

nah personalised plates are good i reckon, after i get my car back from its spray job im gonna get me some, so far ive thought of:

AWYEAH

MYOMEN

UH-HUH

2SXXXC

not sure how many of them are taken already but i'll soon find out once i get my ass down to vicroads :P

Its a GTR from one of my dads friends. He was involved with bringing the 100 GTR R32's into australia back in 1992. The car is a 1997 GTR, 18inch wheels and a few extra goodies. Very nice car, hardly driven in the last 4 years he has owned it and I am picking it up at a cheap price aswell.

1. Personalised plates

2. Visiting race pace for some of Ben's magic

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
