damono
Ive got 18x265x35s on the back of my R33 GTST and they have no prob whatso ever. I reckon 275 on the rears you could get easily, dunno about more than that. BTW.. my guards are not rolled or anything Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/82086-whats-the-max-width-tyre-for-r33-rear/#findComment-1505643 Share on other sites
Nozila
@damono, is your car lowered at all? I have the same width tyres on my rears on 9.5" width rims and it seems that it cannot be lowered without having the guards rolled/lipped/flared at least 2inches. btw mine are sitting on stock suspension atm. Do you happen to have any pics? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/82086-whats-the-max-width-tyre-for-r33-rear/#findComment-1505668 Share on other sites

But when i have fat people in the back, it doesnt have any problems with rubbing at all. The pics are of it standing still and then i put it on a kerb to see how low it can go (not all the way but you get the idea Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/82086-whats-the-max-width-tyre-for-r33-rear/#findComment-1508017 Share on other sites
Duncan
Yeah I fit 265/35/18 on mine as well in semi slicks so they are pretty wide. I did have the guards rolled tho it rubbed a little otherwise Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/82086-whats-the-max-width-tyre-for-r33-rear/#findComment-1508032 Share on other sites

Duncan
Nope sorry the car is gone. You can't see anything from the outside they just fold up the lip on the inside giving about 1cm extra. They did a great job though, heated up the guards, did it carefully no cracks in the paint. Be careful and watch if you get it done I have seen some APPALLING jobs Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/82086-whats-the-max-width-tyre-for-r33-rear/#findComment-1508309 Share on other sites
