Dont run staggered setup on GTR...and get the 10s +22 with a 265 tire. Should all sit in nicely front and back. Sorted.

Have a look back at my pics of 32 GTR, they are 10s all round +11R and +12F with 265s all round. Yours will sit in a full cm in comparison.

It's rolling diameter of tyres that have to be within 2-4% (can't remember exact percentage) otherwise ATTESSA stuffs up.

Width and offsets aren't the issue, a friend told me about a 34 GTR had 4wd issues and mechanic lined all 4 wheels and noticed 4 tyres are different (all are purchased brand new in same size all round), that was enough to stuff the 4wd up.

ah yeah, iv heard of that with the ATTESSA. Not about width differences tho. Having said that it is easy to changing said rolling diameters by unknown quantities as as 225/35/18 is not going ot have the same rolling diameter as a 275/35/18 right?....

does anyone know if 19x10 +20 will sit flush with r33 gtr guards?

It'll fit easily providing you low it.

also what size spacer to make r34 gtr wheels it sit flush with r33 gtr guards?

25-30mm spacers + low will have this wheels fit flush in 33 GTR.

Thanks

yeh wont fit that under stock front guards without stretch/camber/guard bashing.

i think its important that people dont just say "it'll fit fine" unless it actually will.

fitting and been made to fit are not the same.

im considering putting 18x9+15 F and 18x9.5+22 R on my standard guard 33

any advice?

Seems like a pretty nice fit to look aggressive on standard guards

will need front guard liners removed, all 4 guards rolled, and 225/40/18 fr 235/40/18 r

guards may need a lil pull, depending on height

depeneding on how much camber you are running and how low you are id say you will still be able to get 255's on those in the rear...

iv got 18x9.5 +36 with 275's. As little camber as the standard arms offer + pretty low n there is heaps of room. only just needing to roll the guards...

you can put better 235's on there.

a high quality 235 will give more grip than a cheap 265

agreed. I think alot of people make this mistake.

But a sticky & fat tyre... :)

that is my new 275/35/18 Toyo Proxes4 on a 9.5" rim (+36). Minimum camber and lowered a fair bit (bodykit is 14mm at lowest points on the front lip and side skirts).

See heaps of room left in the guards but sitting pretty flush

    • Possibly avoid using a Cometic one unless the deck/head surface are perfectly flat. I did have a look just then and forgiving gaskets such as Tomei or Nitto don't exist for the FJ20, however the Bar-Tek or Kameari ones look good and might do the trick.
    • Because pipe threads for pipe things. M threads for bolt things. Throw some teflon sealant onto it and dust your hands off knowing you did the right thing, instead of going twice around the block to achieve a result using the wrong things. Of course, all of these solutions are ignoring the fact that the minimum thread pitch we're talking about here is 1.25mm, with the 1/4" in NPT or BPS being out around 1.4mm. You will need to know that the boss you're tapping has enough thickness for at least a few threads. That's one of the reasons that 1/8" is commonly used - because the pitch is <1mm. And why would you look to use 1/4" NPT in a BSP country anyway? Ugh.
    • Just throwing around ideas, does it need to be in the compressor cover? Why not the hot side piping?
    • 1/8NPT drill size = 8.7mm. Since the hole got messed up by me, it’s probably around 9mm.    So 1/4” NPT would be next step. A drill size of around 11mm would be preferred there which is not way of my M12 (drill 10.5mm and tap M12 threads)
