Guest DIRTgarage
I need to change mine soon, was probably going to go for some redline. Where is the cheapest place to get it or an equally good brand?

Cheers

Redline is not to be used in synchromesh transmissions..........dont believe me....ask redline

Our gearbox lasted 1hour with it in.....

DIRTgarage Their website says "some" syncromesh gearboxes.

It means that its only meant for high performance gear boxes like skyline, wrx, etc gear boxes.

I got a 1 gallon bottle of it today for $115

excellent price, where was that from?

I have also been using shockproof lightweight for ages, as have several people I know - its excellent stuff.

I also put some in my wifes Lantra because the synchros were starting to go (grinding a little in 3rd and 5th) and now its like new again.

Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
