rev210,

I managed to beat that R34 last time, I think I got lucky though. You better be quick though, sounds like he has got a big turbo and race tyres on order.

I doubt that the S-AFC will get you to 12's or 113mph, but you could be the fastest stock-tubo GTS-t around.

Unless your using a shitload of Toluene, I can't see it making much difference unless you adjust your base timing. You should be able to run more advance with it in. But you weren't running full boost last time were you?

Maybe it's time for that FMIC?haha.

20% or so is all that will be necessary. 4L in 20L of fuel is quite an eye opener. I suggest you try it.

I think I'll buy some nice rims and tyres before the fmic, after all both those mods are about looks more than anything

I ran around 10psi last time, on the 13.4 run. Thats what I consider to be 'full' boost.

Rhino,

I know he was running only a FMIC and boost, putting out 208rwhp at the dyno, but he has ordered a big turbo etc, which should be going on soon. He's after big power, and he's got the money to do it.

Rev210,

I'll be keen to see the difference that the toluene makes to your times, if the difference is noticable then I may try it myself.

Yeah, you can just buy it from the hardware store. rev210 has a place he uses, but most stores have it, works the same as an octane booster, but may provide more power aswell.

I'm planning on running the VP 103, but at $110 per 20 litres, it's only good for the drags.

Macka: dude most stores DON'T have it, I should know I've looked in just about all of them.

Makit Hardware in Balcatta next to marlows balcatta. bout $24 for the 4L tin. Compares nicely with the cost of VP 103 for smaller volumes and craps on it for octane and energy value, it's just not as 'green'.

It's well worth a try I have a litre in the fuel at the moment (20% mix) and it gives a good old kick.

I'm sure you will like the extra timing Macka.

Bringing two members together, I feel like a match maker.

Although Osc@r had problems with spiking I don't think this will be as bad on a stock turbo, I used one for a while and it seemed to do OK, but compared to an EBC they suck.

    • Update: O2 sensor in my downpipe turned out to be faulty when I plugged in to the Haltech software. Was getting a "open circuit" warning. Tons of carbon buildup on it, probably from when I was running rich for a while before getting it corrected. Replaced with new unit and test drove again. The shuffle still happens, albeit far less now. I am not able to replicate it as reliably and it no longer happens at the same RPM levels as before. The only time I was able to hear it was in 5th going uphill and another time in 5th where there was no noticeable incline but applying more throttle first sped it up and then cleared it. Then once in 4th when I slightly lifted the throttle going over a bump but cleared right after. My understanding is that with the O2 sensor out, the ECU relies entirely on the MAP tune and isn't able to make its small adjustments based on the sensors reading. All in all, a big improvement, though not the silver bullet. Will try validating the actuators are set up correctly, and potentially setting up shop time to tune the boost controller on closed loop rather than the open loop it is set to now. Think if it's set up on closed loop to take the O2 reading, that should deal with these last bits. Will try to update again as I go.
    • More so GReddy oil relocation kits, sandwich plates, etc. all use 10AN fittings. And same, I've only used 10AN and my car sees track work (circuit, doing laps, not 10 sec squirt business).
    • street use or race track, what hose size and why? what factors change with the hose size options ?   see most comon is an10. when you see most oem external coolers are closer to an12? does high volume oil pump like nitto need an12 or 10 be just fine
