Did you buy them seperatly or did it come with them?

Came with them fortunately. I had a hard enough time getting a 260RS wing, i wouldn't want to have to look for a set of those. i see what you're getting at with your eyelids, i reckon it'd look good on the angle, similar to how S15's do it

I prefer what mine looks like... ;)

Edit: How do you get the images to display full sized like above?

ahh, got it. Though I still don't know how to get them up to this server, as my understanding is that the gallery has been dead since the transfer....

Terminal, how much did the wing cost you?

as l've been thinking of trying to get one for my car, to loose that "ovlov" look a bit more!! ;)

I bought it through the forum from someone for $300. it's a 260RS copy, so it didn't come with some of the fittings and i had to get them made up. painting and fitment was another $200.

ian, yeah series 2 seem to have a much more aggressive look to them, I just dont like the lights in the grill personally.

97r33gtst-typeM - Only problem then is when Mr Plod does the whole, "Bend over and let me look at your mods..." thing you cant just say, "Well it'll take me 2 seconds to remove them with a philips head screw driver officer, how about I just remove them right now, save you writing out a defect ticket?" :O

Chances are the coppa will give you a ticket anyway, also with painted on it looks flat, whereas with bolt on's you can get them to match the bodywork so the eyelids fit to the contour of the shape of the bonnet.

I'm going to start playing around with cardboard cutouts this weekend probably and see just how fiddly it would be to cut/bend these up. Probably send to Bass Junky for mass production if required, but I dont see a huge interest in them.

Well it looks like most people think they are gay.

Meh I've never been one to cave into popular opinion, cardboard cutouts created, going to have a play around with some different sheetmetal bits and see what the overall effect is.

    • I would be surprised if that wasn't the issue. It's probably telling you, that even if you remove the plastic liner, you may have some other clearance issues that may occur too in some scenarios. IE, tyre to guard. It looks like someone has already rolled the lip, but you may still have issues in the future IE, turning and hitting a bump etc. The fact it changes how bad it makes the noise when you are going backward vs forward is highly indicative that it's the tyre rubbing. They do make a terrible sound, even if you're only pushing a project car that has a liner hanging down on a tyre!   Has the car been lowered? If it has been, what is the measurement from the centre of the wheel hub to the lip of the guard straight up?

    • Mark's a bit smarter than people give him credit... He'd convince the person that is to become dead, to drive him to the forest first. That way his car has no evidence in it, and he's free to dispose of their vehicle permanently how he sees fit too...
    • But if you had to go bury a body in the forest, would you not put that in the boot? Most of them are >=90kg these days.
    • That could easily make a horrible noise. +1 to the benefits of: a) Disclosing all relevant information when asking questions such as these, b) Actually going out and having a look at your own car, seeing as you're the one there, and we're not!
