Guys i want to get my interior retrimmed in black leather. I've been looking through the yellow pages and found a couple of places:

- D.A Motor Trimming in Botany

- Sydney Motor Trimming in Alexandria

Has anyone got any others they recommend or used one of these guys before?

Thanks

Ask for Bill.

He is sort of out in the sticks.......ie near windsor but he does some quality work, a few summernats competitors are done by him and he is a very nice guy who will take the time out to sit down and show you what sort of materials are available etc...

also try platinum car audio and interiors, they do very high quality work

theyre in rydalmere.

master auto trim are also very very good

van (platinum CAI) was an apprentice at master auto trim

and for some reason every year his work seems to resemble louis work from the year before :P

Hey Chris,

Have you heard of anyone who does alacantara?

T.

Nope :D In fact I had to go to google to find out what you are talking about. Alcantara is a flashy brand of feux leather used in many OEM applications etc right?

I'm sure any decent motor trimmer could hook it up :D

i got a quote for a mates WRX from louis at master

front and rear seats and door inserts

for the same sort of design as my trim it worked out to be about 3K

That's a good price and less than I was thinking. I would be getting the same items retrimmed but not the same style as your seats. I'm thinking i will be making a copy basically of the OEM R34 GTR M-Spec seats. Red stitching and GTR embroidery. Hopefully it will work out to be simpler.

Was that mates rates for you 2GU UP?

Depending on leather selected ( it makes a lot of diff in the price ) and style you can get a car done from about $2500 up .

Kris did you know that M-spec sets have suede on the top sides of the front seats ?

The stitching is gold not red , only the R is red .

i never bothered to ask if it was mates rates or not :(

as WRXHOON said you can get a whole car done for sweet f*k all in shit house leather but you will regret it

its cheap for a reason

louis uses only top quality leather just have a look at his other jobs :)

    • @GTSBoy This method was able to get readings of -10 to -2, so it looks like its monitoring.  Now I need to figure out why the vacuum on the line provided isn't alternating with manifold pressure.  I went with 2 lines that an RB25 tuner recommended but I'll get a longer hose and try directly off the back of the manifold.  He may have been used to OEM intake setups while I have a DBW setup that removed the MAF and IACV.
    • I work at a car detailing and tinting shop called Quark which gets all manner of German cars in usually (mainly due to a contract with Mercedes Benz Kita Osaka, BMW Nishinomiya and others) but every once in a while something special comes in, like a fully restored 1972 HS30 Nissan Fairlady 240ZG... The shop owner had immediately started applying film to the windows as soon as it was in the shop so the interior was completely covered in towels and plastic sheets. But I could get a few photos of the engine bay which was restored like new. Such an amazing car to see in pristine condition in Japan these days.
    • Was going to say the car pulls up nicely everywhere, especially going into that last long right hander before the main straight. Looks like a lot of fun.
    • Hey Dave, welcome aboard! Good to see another soon-to-be Stagea owner here. The wagons are awesome — plenty of space, still got that Skyline DNA, and loads of potential if you’re into mods. Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
