An RB25DET out a Stagea AWD is cheap as chips to get (especially out of japan) and its much easier to fit one of these engines, looms and ECU into a GTS4 than going the whole hog and going for the RB30DET. Agreed the power output isn't going to be as good, or the delivery. However there is a substantial saving to be made from going with just an RB25DET. I've driven a RB28 GTR and oh my god was it fun to drive, I'd pick it any day of the week to drive over any RB25DET car. I'd expect a tuned RB30DET to be similar to the RB28. That said, would I spend time and money building one... not a chance. All depends on how heavy your wallet is and how street sensible you want to keep the car I guess.
