Hey guys,

I got a prob with my front passenger rim on my 33. i thought the tyre somewhere had a leak as the tyre leaks air over about a month b4 i need to constantly reinflate it, so im always topping it up. i got it all checked out thinking it was the rubber, but they found a hairline crack in the actual rim.

I have 18" ROH Drift R's on the car, and i dont really want to replace that 1 rim which will prob cost 500 bucks, but it looks like i have no choice, it must be fixed or it will always continue to leak.

Is it possible to like get a tube put in just that wheel to fix it, as these type of wheels are tubeless..if thats the case id much rather pay 40 bucks than 500.

any advice would be appreciated

you can get it tubed at your local tyre place should be no dramas however i would be concerned of the safety of the rim itself if its cracked.

it could be unsafe and expand more or crack more at high speeds, that would be fatal, especially on the front

um iam pretty shore they dont make tubes for 16-17-18s coz they low profile, could be wrong about 16s but others iam shore off, just get some reall good glue n tank the tyre look 4 where air is comeing out n GLUE it, but i would fix or get new 1 if u wont i can get u these rim most likly.

i would advise against the tube idea even if you can find one for your wheel as they are not the safest things going around (excuse the punt)

as someone suggested best thing is to get it repaired by wheel repairers.

I got the wheel checked out at an ally repairer, the wheel is f***ed. the crack is too close to where the spoke meets the inner part of the rim so the only option is a new rim. but the rim is $280 so its not too bad..i was expecting them to be around 400-500 per rim.

And yes im still getting the 34. had it checked out and all looks good.

    • Crazy how good the aero bar looks compared to the stock one
    • Yes, but you will need to rewire all the things that are different. CAS, coils, etc. Yes, but there is no IAT. What? You can use anything you like. It just has to be hooked up so that it will work.     Or are you wanting to just plug and play without having to do any thinking/work?
    • It's been a little over a decade since I bought the S15. As I did on my socials, I'll share some of my favorite pictures from over the years further below. If you haven't realised, pretty much all the pictures in my posts are ones I've taken.  In terms of updates, I don't have pictures, but I acquired a near-perfect pair of fog lights from a friend of mine, so those got swapped in for the pair I already had. As for the JZX110, I just got it back from being fixed. A few weeks back, I was on the highway when I suddenly drove over something with very little time to react. It was probably the size of a soccer ball, but it went under the car and banged into the underside pretty loudly. I pulled over and realized the fluid leaking was fuel, and of course, it was right near my exhaust. This required replacing the fuel tank. If you happen to be in the same predicament, thankfully this car shares a fuel tank with the JZS171, IS200, and IS300, so it wasn't too painful to replace. Enjoy some pictures as mentioned above, including the carnage from the fuel tank and a bonus picture I came across which shows how ridiculously shiny the Bugels are on the 110. So many more pictures I could share of the S15 but this will do for today, enjoy.
    • Welcome.  Was the mistake the car, or joining us? 😏
    • Yeap, was me and the daughter getting coffee before heading to the new joint to measure up the fridge space and taking some pics that the solar installer wanted of the switch board
