geoff risbey suggested I get compliance done by global motorworks. I found them to be pleasant and helpful..

but then rang aroung and got some quotes and one was 200 bucks cheaper.....so i took the cheaper quote cause I had no reason not to.

anyway, I dont think I need to actually describe the ordeal, suffice to say tha I really should have gone with global. dont know If I could describe the bullshit ive been through without bursting into tears, but I will never go back to that workshop again, and my arsehole feels like its about 5 foot wide.

See ya Makca.

Paul - you know what's wrong with the sump plug - you ****ed it! Oh, also none of the factory ones are the same. Looks like I will need to pull it out & get the dead bolt removed from the plug, then insert another - shouldn't be too hard but gotta do it so I don't leave an oil trail everywhere:bahaha:

    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
    • Pull codes via the self-diagnosis procedure. As far as I can tell this is just a sign of transmission issues but not a code unto itself.
    • Hi All, putting the engine back together and everything is perfect except have this plug left over.. any ideas what it is for and where it goes? Is on cold side under the intake plenum *note not a stock plug, as everything has been modified Cheers
    • Sounds like a misfire. Check fuel pressure and don't even think about going into boost while it's like this unless you enjoy engine rebuilds.
