Why were u pissed off Kym? should have given them a friendly wave or even gone over and had a chat. If not just sit next to the car staring back at them till they leave. Not like u were doing anything wrong.

Sounds like maybe they had a bit of a crackdown this weekend. they had cops on bikes with guns at 3:30am on sat nite just before south tce which is pretty strange.

BY THAT RATTLY SHITBOX YOU HAD BETTER NOT BE REFFERING TO MY ROLLA KYM!!!  did you know that Kym is the girls way of spelling Kym??

Of course not Bayley! it was an old escort driving beside me puffing black smoke and rattling as it turned at the next roundabout, yet the coppers still followed me.....

My name can be spelt many ways, you'd be suprised how many email alias's I had to setup for my work-related email!

Yeah, i was just annoyed that they followed me like that, that's why coppers get bad names, cos they're d!cks!

if i was a smartass and had a chat, they'd have given me a yellow for SOMETHING like dirty headlights hey, good luck as i just came from rhino-wash before that!

Im not surprised they had a crackdown this weekend. there was a cruise involving about 100 (somewhat) hipowered cars on friday night which drove along some of the busiest streets in perth.

that;s enough to guarantee a cop heartattack.

btw, a big f-u to the guy in the jacked up 4wd who thought it was a really good idea to do burnouts in the sand at teh fiirst stop.

Kym,

Yeah, it seems they've been told to harass us, I wish I had another car to drive around in for a while till they calm back down.

See'ya:burnout:

I've conteplated buying a shitbox festiva/excel or something like that many a time, just to burn around in unnoticed...but alas, the money tree isn't being watered right now... *sigh*

We see them parked in Freo pulling in cars going down the cafe strip. We got out and went and had a conversaion with them!!! Jeff was laughing at them. I was saying, Jeff, shoosh, I don't want a yellow. He done the same thing in Scarb. Has conversaions with them!

U cant expect a cop to know everything in the book. Thats y they have yellow and reds. A yellow just means that u have to get it checked, by no means does it mean that u have to do anything to rectify any problems if there is nothing wrong with it. Cops cant know everything and thats y they have the yellow sticker. The only beef is the $75.

U cant say u have never broken the law before so the yellow is the cops way of busting u for something they cant prove. Cops know that any1 in a line has busted the speed limit. The yellow just puts the fear in u and helps keep u in check.

U gotta admit that for every good driver out there in a line, there are 3 crappy drivers. Lets say that 1 in 20 of these die in high speed accidents. Have u ever seen a fatal accident? u can bet that alot of cops have and its not all that nice. I know a few career cops that are now completely burnt out from a lifetime of seeing these kinds of horrors.

My best to the cops and the job they do, sure some are bastard but on average they cant be as bad as telstra or any similar organisation.

    • If you mean the alarm immobiliser; theyre internal to the alarm itself which makes that difficult; I couldnt even see where he put it; its not in the same place as last time; but with all black wiring it might be very challenging to trace  I had someone turn the key for me as I know it only primes for a couple of seconds As my post above; I am getting no voltage to the pump at all; but I am testing continuity of the power line (SB) from the pump plug to the relay fine. As well as the negative from the pump plug to a 12V constant.    Yeah; he blammed the no start on a bad battery; said I needed to get a new battery and it'll start. Turns out the battery drained because the tail lights had been on for half the day during the install (the rubber cushion on the brake switch gave out while he was testing it as I have a picture of the car from that morning with the tail lights off..i've replaced that). The battery was turning over the engine just fine for a long time; but got low since lights were draining it so it was too low to test a start after he finished. I bought a new one on his advice...$250 wasted. My original battery charged up just fine and is healthy.    It was running perfectly fine when I messed up the old alarm (programmed out the remotes). He couldnt start it after removing the old alarm; my assumption is that when he unhooked it; he didnt bridge the circuit back when trying to start it. Its always been perfectly fine. The ECU swap and pump were 2 years ago. It's never missed a beat in that time.
    • This is a big issue for me without the diff. I just have zero drive from the passenger side when drivers side has no traction. Bec's parents place has a crazy steep driveway with odd camber and I have never been able to get up. My bro-in-law's 130i with an (unknown brand) LSD gets up fine as does their dad's Hiace. My car stays at the bottom. We have other odd camber roads around here as we're elevated a bit and if it's raining I can get totally stuck around some hairpins.
    • Yeah, I am super excited for this.
    • Was the car running before he touched the car?
