Hey guys

I was wondering if it is possible to take my rear taillight covers off and replace it with something better than an ageing not-as-clear-anymore one that has indented lines going across it.

I've seen some R31s that dont have that clear cover and i was hoping if i could do the same?

Cheers

Only things I'd suggest to fix your problem is get an early HR31 or an R32/33/34 - because thats the only way you'll get lights like you describe without making the car look poxy.

Most likely you can get fresh light assemblies from somewhere like jenesis ( http://www.r30.co.jp )....

haha this is like, straight-translation using babelfish isnt it? thanks none-the-less. now i gotta figure out the english lol :P

Hey Yas,

I can supply you with this derivative of the same lights.

Maybe better, maybe not, but BLACK background instead of silver/grey

Let me know what you think.

Cheers

that first pic isnt uncovered local lights, its lights off an import nicknamed afterburners. came on seris 1/2 imports r31s..

heres the pic your looking for. series 3 lights (hotplates) with the cover removed. yes, it looks dodgy, but it could look cool.

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
