Japanese Radio Band

Hey Guys,

Fresh from Japan my 33 has an Sony MD deck installed. Now the radio is only capable of tuning into stations up until around 80.00 - 89.00. I'm assuming this is the range the Japs use over there.

Can this be converted to the Australian range (up to around 107.00).

If so How?

I pulled the deck out the other day and looked for some sort of switch to perhaps fix but I couldn't find one? Surely other people have come accross this? I tried doin a search but couldn't find anything.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

yes buy a 18mhz band expander. costs about $30. you will have to add +18 to every thing on display. eg 78.9 on the display will actually be 96.9.
