Hey from Canada! Do you guys know what the part number for the windsceen on an a31 is? (if glass has a part number) Glass isn't my specialty. Or, does anyone know what substitutes there is? Like an e90's maxima?

Just go to a auto glass fitter and give them the model number (Nissan A31 Cefiro) they should be able to get one in if they dont already have one. I Aus the place I rang had one in stock ;)

Give it a go, or alternatively go to nissan.

Hey, thanks for the tips. I apreaciate any help. But the Cefiro was not exported to Canada and it is very rare in canada. I imported my car strait from Japan, there is maybe 10-20 in all of Canada. (I'm probably wrong but you get the idea). I go to a nissan dealer and they look at me like, wtf is a cefiro, lol. But I have been looking around at local autoglass shops...Maximas windscreens don't fit, there about 6 inches wider.

Anyone know if a s13 windscreen fits?

No, things like windscreens are car specific if the maxima was locally delivered to your country then they would be able to get you a windscreen cos the maxima is the cefiro, it's the same thing really...

No, accualy the Maxima and the cefiro are not the same until 1992, which would be the A32. Which is too bad cuase, like I said, even though the 90 maxima is very close, it's about 6 inches to wide. You are right, windsceens are very specific. Guess I have to grab my wallet and order one from Japan.

hi,

exhaust question here for Cefiro:

Dump pipe/front pipe, will a aftermarket R32 one fit?

also, cooler kits....will a R32 fit?

thanks

If going for Aftermarket goto Reinhard they make a specific Cefiro front pipe. (www.hipowerracing.com - Contact Ivan).

Any FMIC cooler will fit with enough cutting and shutting of the front bar... if talking about piping, the R32 piping needs to be cut slightly. EG: Pipe which goes across the front of the engine and then joined with a silicon pipe for example.

ALSO>>> Hand brake cable? Part No.? Alternative car for straight fit?...

R32 handbrake goes into laurel so i would assume its the same.

R34 gtt stock sidemount intercooler is pretty much a straight swap into a ceffy. You use the ceffy bracket and cut of the piece for the snorkel off with a hacksaw. You also need to cut a section of of the splash guard cause it sits lower than the stock one.

The ceffy sidemount set up is very similar to the r33 and r34 not r32

is there much difference in cooling efficiency from the r34gtt item over the stock ceffy item?

yea i noticed much greater pulling power when boost kicked in and esp after 5000 revs when i was finding mine was dropping off as a result of the increased boost i had, and there was no lag difference. Plus they are rated for up to 200kw ...so i figured i would try it instead of a big front mount. At the moment i dont think i will be going over the 200kw mark so i thought it was the best option for now. There are acouple of threads in the forced induction section on this.

cheers for that Resin, read both those threads. were pretty interesting. You have me hooked on getting one now! Espec that i'm not after huge power figures either and i also get that same drop in power after a bit of revs. Don't seem too pricey either.

    • Hi...so a "development" here aswell The swap is "done" and car went "test drive" BUT it seems the clutch(maybe gearbox?) is a little bit sad? I bought this clutch kit https://justjap.com/products/xtreme-heavy-duty-organic-clutch-flywheel-kit-nissan-skyline-r31-r32-r33-push-type "Problem" is that the first gear is hard to put into and it seems that the clutch is not disengaged. It was not the problem with the old clutch...(or like sometime the first gear would not get as easy specialy when the fluid was cold) So? Can it be like...bad "install" or is the clutch wrong ((it should not have been) i done research to get the right one) Or is this "normal" with new clutch and needs to be break in?
    • @Duncan I can try  and thanks i did not thought about VIN and part numbers for 33/34. @GTSBoy yeah it looks like iam gonna do that
    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
