What can I say, the situation sucks, but there's no point fighting with each other about it. If you're going to be angry towards anyone it should be towards the WSID execs showing the awful attitude towards us, the import community that supports them.

I hope that a resolution can be made and look forward to hopefully attending the rescheduled meeting next year.

I agree that starting fresh next year is the best option. There's way too much on between now and Christmas to try and organise another day at WSID.

For those that still want to race, there's always the Sport Compact meet at WSID on December 17th ($110 to compete) or good ol Wed nights at WSID.

I've never had a go at any of these Sport Compact meets before, but since there's no SAU drag day and i've still got the bug to race, i've decided to turn a negative into a positive and have decided to enter. I personally think it would be awesome if we could get a heap of Skylines out there and make a day of it :)

Adam, excellent work on organising the refund from WSID.

Look forward to the drag day next year :D

Still think I will be away but if I'm in town I'll be out there to cheer you on ;)

I will be directly depositing from tomorrow. I've had to wait for the WSID cheque to clear in the SAU account then a cheque to be written to me, deposited and cleared in my account before I can start depositing to the entrants accounts.

Some of it is directed at us. At least they finally spelled out the rules for us but of course no admission that they have been lax in providing those rules to us previously.

"To be fair, this may simply occur through a lack of understanding on the part of the hirer" This was the closest they came.

hmmm i have to shake hands with minster tomorrow maybe i sould pull him aside and tell him what i think lol

ahh well all 11.0 and below racers, may as well sell the car and drive a stocker. To say we are dissapointed would be an understatement....were gutted!

WSID never had any form of written agreement? On what basis was the track being hired out? Whatever rules they felt like making up at the time? What a disgrace. Alot of double standards there. They won't allow sub-11 second cars at private track days, but only allow SS and higher to hire the track with a maximum of 8 vehiclles @$550 each? So if, say, the owner of a (street-registered and driven) sub-11 ET vehicle wants to race then they either (a) must be ANDRA licenced and can only use the track hire with a maximum of 8 cars @$550 each; or ( B) they can attend a Wednesday night street meet. However, they can't attend club private days.

Doesn't seem fair or reasonable to me. The same car can attend a Wednesday night street meet, but cannot attend a private (street) car club meet, but 11.00+ cars can attend both.

    • Yeh I think i'll message an old contact i had for ages that manages his own tyre shop now.. n tell him what i want n work with him before ordering..  Got this 17x9 +30 Driftteks on 245/45/17 PSR Drag Radials on the rear.. They fit well - for your reference in future - Rear guards  have been lipped in & minimal to non flaring of the rear Gaurds.
    • If only it were that easy! I also needed to remove seats, shocks, brake calipers, send my car through a fence, and use measuring and ended up guessing because I didn't remove seats, shocks and brake calipers. It can be hard sometimes Can be a little more complex than 'just measure' if you want to truly measure the entire wheel through all of it's suspension travel. But if you aren't going for every last mm then yeah, you can check the space you currently have and guesstimate.
    • If you own a car, and it has wheels on it, and you know the offset of those wheels, and you have a measuring device, you have everything you need to work out if other wheels will fit.
    • Will this fit? but they are staggered set - RAYS 57DR SEMI GLOSS BLACK 18x8.5 +37 | 18x9.5 +38 5-114.3 STAGGERED SET   or If no go could just get a set 4's wheels of 18x8.5 +37 5-114.3 - would i run 8.5's 235s up front n 245's at the back if I do?   Thanks.
    • Put a clamp on your return line. I have a feeling it's sucking air, and introducing bubbles to your fuel. With a lot of fuel, less problematic. I'd honestly be redoing all the lines in the tank and clamps on everything.   Also, you've given two different answers to the same question: Asked if being followed by the police you could get down to use the whole tank, you said yes you could, so long as you keep off boost. However, you then followed this up that free revving, it would also cause the issues. I'm doubting free revving is enough to make any noticeable boost on what is likely a decent sized turbo.   So now I have to ask, can you actually drive it lightly and use all the fuel, or does it break up even free revving? Also, have you put a fuel pressure gauge on it? Can you hear the pump change noise at all when you're having this issue?
