Well, that was the best cruise I have been on in ages.

Well done Matt (Whatsisname) for organising it.Great

turnout, good to see so many GTRs,GTSts, & other imports

out for a good time.My R34 got a real flogging- just loved

that cool air.Whole cruise was sensational, especially the

drags through the centre of the city b4 rundle st on the way

home.

R33 is all ready to go for street drags tonight,so if all goes well

I just might finally break into the nines.Mainly just want to

practice & get the car right for the F,S&R Nationals next weekend.

Cheeky - my ears are still ringing from that burnout you did on

Victoria square.

See you all soon.:D

 I see I'm not the only one jumpin' straight on the forum to see what everyone else thought :D

Thanks John :) The Southern Expressway run was awesome mate :)

I really never expected that many would turn up! Hopefully everyone else enjoyed themselves!? I sure didn't make it easy for everyone to know what was going on :P Slightly past "fashionably" late & forgot the 20 cruise maps I had actually made!

HEY.....at least it didn't rain this time!

Wish I could make it out to AIR for the SM :P Keep me informed of your progess John! Hope you finally crack that 9 mate :uh-huh:

Yeah that was certainly one of the best cruises I have been on. Great turnout and you boys present were on fire .... loved those roundabouts along the seafront chasing Matt (Whasisname) and Henry (Brute) with MattR right up my clackers .... oh those slippery roundabouts :)

The town runs certainly were a highlight! .... 6 very nicely modified cars in a tight pack ripping up the bitumen at every set of lights  .... I couldn't believe my eyes when I looked a bit closer in the 'Cheeky' mobile to see a chick! Nice work from all present .... and if you weren't present why the hell not????

And Matt and John, your Southern expressway shenanigans were unbelievable, as usual! Feel the power!

How'd the pics turn out mate? Nice work by the way! Full tilt driving & taking the happy snaps :uh-huh:

That slightly unexpected moment (rear stepping out going uphill) on the Esplanade was interesting  I think a bit of sand across the road was to blame!?

The QLD rego'd 32 GT-R (minus rear spoiler), is the owner a forum member? That's a quick car!

Nice car CHEEKY.

Forgot to mention earlier - A big thanks to Henry (BRUTE) & wife for leading the way from Moana back toward town, I wasn't 100% on which turns to make. Nice drivin' Henry!

well what a night sensational ;)

great effort for everyone that turned up

awesome to see so many quality cars together and no one getting busted.

was a pleasure to lead the pack Matt, good espy run along the beach would have been a good

sight Holden Ute chased by a pack of Skyline's, wicked :)

cant wait for the next one :P

I AM SPEWING!!!!

We lost the pack after Jetty St, and made our way back into town........ MISSING THE CITY FUN!!!

Woulda been cool to see the pack running amock in the city centre.

Im with the others already posted bring on the next cruise.... (next fri night? i hear gt autosound have a raffle prize for the shootout cruise)

Spewing i missed the cruise now. Still waiting for my front diff to be fixed, it has been 2 and half months and counting that i haven't driven my car for. Can't wait for the next cruise cause i will definetley be there.

Drats! My gal wanted to go home after Mt Lofty summit. Cant believe she wasnt pumped after seeing all those PHAT skylines?!! Crazy woman!

I'll join the cruise ALL the way next time...without her!

Matt, glad you finally answered your phone (instead of voice msg)! Thanks for the directions!

adrian

Matt,

You didn't miss too much after you headed home anyway, just a couple of good bits :)

Adrian,

Yeah sorry mate :) Didn't realise I'd left the mob' in the centre console until just before we headed off!

jojo,

It's not much fun being a passenger with Matt anyway, he drives like my nanna (& she's dead) :)

hey ya..

yeah that cruise rocked.

What do you mean your ears are still ringing john?

I wanted to race you other guys to see how much power my car lacked but i dont think you guys like the idea of racing a girl!

We have to have more regular cruises me thinks.

Erica,

:burnout:

    • I've looked up the parts number (41011AL501). It's around $700 OEM. Usually our Infiniti G35 here in Canada have interchangeable parts with my Stagea but the parts number are not the same. I have looked around and it seems the JDM 2005 V35 Skyline (which is the same as our G35) has the same caliper but I cannot confirm. And I can't find a repair kit. The inner brake pads drags on the rotor, seems to be rusty piston. Thanks for the info by the way
    • This coupled with 6-9 speed autos with ridiculously short gearing is why these modern shitbox cars always seem so fast off the line. If it wasn't for those things, Raptors would not seem fast. The problem we have is there is a driveability gap between a more gentle take off and a wheelspinning sideways launch. The difference between ankle flex required to achieve one and ankle flex required to achieve the other is about 0.5°.
    • Yeah I think I'm also with the opposite here. It's 'hard to keep up with traffic' because in the real world I'm accelerating with 15% throttle and they are pinning it. It feels like I'm being an overt dickhead at anything above 15% throttle, so the car sounds like I'm being an overt dickhead to keep up with/get ahead of traffic when I'm really just trying to drive with traffic. There would be no issue 'keeping up with traffic' if we used the same level of throttle input/aggression to drive around. People really do just drive around with their foot nearly pinned in econoboxes.
    • To be fair it's the other way around. 300kw is boring in a modern Golf or BMW. They are so competent / well-engineered / devoid of emotion that you have to go stupid fast to feel anything. Whereas the <300kw RB still makes all the right noises and it feels good to drive. Can pull off at the lights with the turbo whooshing and the blow-off pssshing and feel like the coolest kid on the block. Just don't look to the side where you'll see the bored housewifes in their shitbox Yaris/Corolla/Camry that kept up because you didn't go fast at all
    • 300kW is so boring in a Skyline, you'll get spanked by someone's mum's Golf with Alibaba pipes, and an email tune.
