Huh, no Simon , you didn't scare me .

People seem to have a mythical view that the GTR is an unbeatable all conquering thing .

Most road near stock GTR's ( pipe , boost , clutch ) are good for around 12.4 or so at the plex.

A good GTST is good for 13.4 or so. A slight lazy launch or insufficient revs on grippy tyres ( my excuse ) will negate the difference and once grip is achieved from both cars power/weight comes into play.

I also do NOT confess to being a drag expert, my satisfaction is track orientated.

Having said all that , that is a freakily quick stock terbed ( I have been told ) 32 GTST you have there.

Anyone know what the cpaer was with the two commies the cops tried to take outside carosel for getting a bit tail happy, i was told they got one guy in a white sedan but the green ute did a runner, so much of a runner he almost ploughed into me on leach highway then buggered off down the manning road exit when he got clear of us all..

I only ever find out about these things after the event!!!

I was pulled over last nite for my blue headlights. Got off with a warning, but the officer told me if he wasn't about to go off duty, he would lift the bonnet and find several reasons to give me a sticker. Must of had a really bad shift. As we were driving off, my son switched on the under car neons. What a lad!

Yeah some cops are pricks but some are half decent well ive been let off for doing 75 in a 60 zone, 75 in a 40 zone and tailgating (and it was actually the cop i was tailgating he was in an unmarked blue wagon) and it was a public holiday double demerits - so there was my license gone but they let me go sayin they had better things to do. The other time i was blowing the cobwebs out the cop was trying to crack onto me haha asking me everything from where do i work & even making excuses for why i was speeding. Ya just got to use some of that female charm angel - do the innocent act haha

Angel , it was actually a Performance Forums Cruise but a few peeps from here go to both.

BTW whats this:eek:

2 females have just joined the WA SAU . Excellent

Now wait for all the er.... young boys to start asking the usual questions:D

* Joe, Paul , Hicks , psiko , your slipping.*hehehe

Cheers

Ken

I have manners, I PM'ed. hehehe

* no dear , I was joking dear, no I'm not trying to chat up young girls dear, yes I know I'm old enough to be there father dear *

Father or grandfather? Either way you look at it, your just a dirty old man:lol:

No wonder we don't get many newbies any more, look at the way we act, and I thought you were the mature one.

and I ain't that young

I just go :shake: out the window when they pull me over, then they get scared and drive off :):D

not really...

welcome angel and nizmo by the way :)

gts-t vspec - I finally put those tyres on, they are AMAZING!!! Used to get major traction problems going to 2nd, put pineapples in and was better (but still a lot of spin), now it's just a chirp and away she goes! jan is happy :D

Psiko,

FFS, what took you so long. Told you they were good.

See'ya:burnout:

I'd paid for pirelli p-zeros and only got about 2,000km's out of them ... so had to drive around on the carcasses for an extra 5,000km's to justify buying them

but toyo's are BLOODY good

cheers for those mate!

    • For once a good news  It needed to be adjusted by that one nut and it is ok  At least something was easy But thank you very much for help. But a small issue is now(gearbox) that when the car is stationary you can hear "clinking" from gearbox so some of the bearing is 100% not that happy... It goes away once you push clutch so it is 100% gearbox. Just if you know...what that bearing could be? It sounding like "spun bearing" but it is louder.
    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve.
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
