hmmm does the skyline community no favours driving like that does they. :D

what ya reckon?

 hahahahaha what a dead shit that road out the back of bundamba is on a bloody blind corner (if its bundamba bloody looks like it) should know better + the area has a lot of oldish people around so again U SHOULD OF KNOW BETTER!!!!!! who ever u are what a waste of a nice looking line

People do 3 point turns when it is safe to do so. Sometimes people do it in the wrong places, but if people are obeying the 50kmh speed limit, there is no problem for them to at the very least slow down if not stop. Try doing 50 in your skyline & see how much room you need to stop, it's not very much at all.

To me, that is nowhere near 50kph damage, the skyline was definately speeding & if there was always going to be contact if he was going 50 he would have been able to slow down a lot more than he "might" have. You can tell this just from the pic, the lines front bar looks like it was demolished & corolla's dont come with that much camber from the factory. :D

As someone has already said hopefully there wasn't any injuries & they both have insurance.

nah its a bogan stealing the cooler :D

wasnt on the coast, somewhere in boganville Brisbane

Nah, Boganville is actually in Papua New Ginuea.

On another note. There are no skid marks where the collision took place which means it probably took place on a bend where the driver in the Skyline could not see. Sure he may be a hoon, I'm sure we have all been guilty of that at some stage, but fact is, the guy in the Corolla was probably at fault. Broad daylight with plenty of visibility, no skid marks and only about 40-60km/hr damage. I'd say on this day he was not speeding.

He was not going fast at all

i have seen many a skyline front ended and the bonnet went no where

i hit some one at 10kms and did way more damage $11000

trust me he did not hit him really fast

and y do a 3 point turn in a suburb

pull into a drive way and reves out easy

what is this CSI:SAU?

fyi, a car with abs won't leave skidmarks

Ok look at it this way. Im in no way defending either party. But lets say, the person in the corolla didnt look, or did and the skyline was in the blind spot, and didnt indicate (as we all know how good qlders are at that!), and just turned. There might have only been 10m to react to the situation, and THEN brake after that. I dont care who the hell you are, you can not stop in that distance at 50 or even 40kmh. Your reaction time alone you will have already crashed (or be on the brakes about to crash as you just cant wash off that much speed) Yeah the skyline driver probably WAS hooning about. But it is unfair to blame him if no one was there to actually see exactly what happened.

And I still maintain I know people that will pull out of a car that is speeding even if they can see it simply because they shouldnt be speeding. They dont care if they cause an acco, because they feel they are in the right. Which is wrong, its not defencive driving, its attemped murder. Ditto I know people will speed up if someone pulls out in front of them, just to give them a scare.

Thats my say anyway. Dont have to agree but think about the first bit.

having been in a few crashes in my time I can tell you now that when it comes to the police and insurance companied laying blame speed won't be factored into it. It all comes down to who should of given way, and in this instance its the rolla that shouldn't of been doing the 3 point turn.

    • CTIS (Central Tire Inflation System) has existed since the 80's. I'm looking into buying a Hummer H1 and they generally included it.
    • My idle is set at 950rpm though - Moving the timing around 20 degrees is not really what I'd call a calm idle. That said... neither is chop, by definition. The LS ECU likes to adjust timing to hold idle as opposed to air. It'd work, but generally speaking there'd be a discrepancy in the base idle and the IACV would want to move the timing around anyway to maintain said idle. I think I'm just going to keep the timing steady anyway. Preserve my engine mounts.  My aircon is now officially regassed. As the guy was reversing I noticed my reverse lights do not operate, along with my reverse cam. This is a bit distressing, because 100% of guides talk about which wire to connect to backup cams as "the goes with the [other color] wire". Often when doing conversions. Unfortunately the R34 colour wires aren't documented Unfortunately I had a T56 Magnum gearbox with it's reverse switch, which also isn't documented. Unfortunately there's definitely not documentation for people with both of these in the one car. Unfortunately I forgot. After many hours of this, I have a reverse cam and reverse lights again. The wire going through the trans tunnel to the reverse switch had broken. Upon inspection, it looks like this one wire had about 7 spade terminals and extensions in it.. for reasons I cannot possibly comprehend. I also spent the 750 hours required to clean up the wiring behind my head unit which now looks like this: This is a monumental improvement relative to what used to be there WRT triple gauges, head unit, traction control, wideband controller, and whatever the f**k OEM stuff still exists there in various states of connectivity/needed. Next step is to check in at the Exhaust shop to see/confirm how much clearance I have, to decide what mid mufflers or 'resonators' (which are just straight through, narrower mufflers) I can add and hopefully cut out a lot of exhaust leaks, pinhole, v-band or otherwise. But first step will be to 'take a look' before the next step.
    • Fark the AFM card and Nistune, Haltech Nexus S3, DBW, cruise control, flex fuel, dis dat.
    • It's most likely the bolt/bush where the cover bolts back wore and allowed cover to move forward.
    • Still haven't put the injectors and R35 AFM in so we can tune the bloody thing for the HG highflow it got mid last year! I think I can forecast the upgrade path to a bigger twin scroll, external gate, Haltech, flex setup, Samsonas, dis dat, etc will be .... a while away!
