The LMGT4's were fitted yesterday,it came with black Enkei's.

I like the ride height, thats why I havent replaced the lip yet,$1200 for original.

The motor has since been rebuilt with forged pistons at Racepace since this dyno run, made a little more, cant find the sheet.

Have cams, afm's and pump going in soon, retune on 100oct Extreme.

I dont like shootout mode,it made 340rwkw on Bens dyno in normal mode, but seeing how everyone posts up shootout figures,I thought i'd make it comparable.

This run was done when my brother owned the car,Ice Performance will be fitting my new parts and retuning, but it wont be in shootout mode.

My S15 has made 242rwkw on Ice's dyno, keen to compare difference.

Car currently has

HKS 2530's

HKS dump pipes

HKS front pipe

HKS cat back

HKS ebc

HKS pods

Trust fmic

Nismo 600cc inj

Adj. cam gears

Forged pistons

OS Giken twin plate(I also have an OS triple plate as well)

1.4 bar

Apexi power fc

The car was raced in Japan,we found tow hooks under the car and harness mounts under the back seat.

Going in next week are

HKS 264/264 cams

Z32 afm

Tomei fuel pump

Apexi pods

The car also has

Tein castor rods and I have ordered a heap of Cusco and Ikeya Formula suspension pieces.I also have R34 GTR calipers and Project Mu discs going on.

The fuel pump and af meters scare the crap out of me,but Ben says they are ok,Nigel at ICE said he has seen these figures with stock pump and afm before.

I have just fitted 18x10 Nismo LMGT4 rims with 265/35/18 RE55 tyres.

I will run the car down the 1/4 early next year.

I have been pretty careful with the car,not reving it out much till I can get ICE to tune it as it has a brand new bottom end rebuilt by RacePace.

I think the car will only pull around 340rwkw on Ice's dyno. The most I have seen is around 70%,but like I said,I havent extend it yet.

I've been banking on upgrading the injectors as well, but I'll wait till after the other stuff goes in.

What power are you making TommyK???

Another thing I found unusual about the car was that it pulled 270rwkw on RacePace's dyno when it first landed in Australia in 2003 with

Std turbos

Std inj

Std pump

Std fmic

remapped ecu

adj. cam gears

std afm's

OS Giken triple plate.

That was how the car came off the boat.Who runs a triple plate with those mods?

My brother was the first owner in Oz.We test drove a heap of GTR's,and this one blew our minds how quick it was.It also had Apexi N1 coilovers, now has HKS Hipermax.

Fair enough.

Sounds good. You should make decent power and be maxing out those injectors. do you have a fpr ?

Not sure anymore what power im making - I made 315rwkw on a dynolog dyno with a 13:1 AFR, with retarded timing (at least 5 degrees) due to problems with my coils. At that power, i see about 80% injector duty cycle with 13:1 AFR's ?

Car made 305 awkw on a dyno dynamics in shootout @ 1.3 bar, but only used 72% injector duty @ 12:1 AFR ? (poor quality tune)

I will have proper results next weekend once its had its final tune. Im expecting 330rwkw on the dynolog. Could be more.

Let us know how you go. Hit the drags too, so we know what mph its capable of doing :)

No fpr.

In the past I've used the same dyno to check any gain with new parts, and thats all I use a dyno for.My S15 makes 242rwkw at Ice,and I've tested every upgrade.I took it to Calder and the clutch let go,could only select 3 gears, ran 13.0 @ 70mph lol.Now has a twin plate, gearbox blew up,PAR engineering box now, havent been back yet. I know my GTR box will let go first time out as well lol.

I dont get too concerned about peak dyno figures, just gains. The track never lies.

    • What 1.5 way? There's no such thing really as a 1.5 way, just different ways of explaining 2 ways with different ramp rates. HOWEVER. In any driving in a straight line your 1.5 or 2 or 1.7 way should have no clunking at all. With the clutch fully depressed the diff should be silent (unless it's welded but I'm assuming it's not). Something aint right here.
    • Clutch is a spec brand, new clutch system,( PP, flywheel, friction disc, etc. pull type) installed 100 miles ago, with no problems.
    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drove beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?
