i see what your saying and appreciate it but this car is driven ussually once or twice a month. i am not sure that i will be driving around two much with the bottles attached only on drag days.

and the errection problem i will let you no if it happens ha ha jokes...

i am building this thing up for drag racing and it should be finished this week i will put new pics up then.....

Campbell....seriously mate.....take his advice - KEEP YOUR MOUTH AWAY FROM THE NITROUS INJECTORS WHILE YOU ARE GOING 150MPH BECAUSE YOU COULD HAVE ERECTION PROBLEMS.

I think yunnowho up there lives inside a bubble....lol.

No one wants to see you dead 'if', knock on wood, you ever need the roll cage. Because the way you have set everthing up is dodgy and you may as well rip the cage and the harness out for all the good it's not going to do you in a crash.

3lit3 32,

The gas is known to sometimes leak out of the thread on the bottle. Even when you have checked it and properly thread taped it. You don't want to have taken a few lung fulls of gas before rampaging off down the track at 150mph it's not good for thinking straight if something should happen, thats racing. It's an anesthetic and thats why the manufacturers of every kit say put it in the boot with outside ventilation. You also don't want nitrous or fuel lines running inside the cabin for obvious reasons. If the reasons aren't obvious to you ask a manufacturer of the kits any one of them will tell you the same thing.

I really think you should have some type of neon lighting on each bottle.

Are you sure that the bottles weren't leaking a little when you decided to mount them there?

Honestly, stick them in the boot and mount the harnesses properly, visual appeal kind of goes out the window if you have an accident and end up hanging out the front window with a nitrous bottle lodged in the back of your head.

my harness goes to the parcel shelf the passanger side goes to the top of the cage for some reason the six poing saas harneses arnt made long enough i am getting somthing made or if anyone else has any sugestions... lets not all look at the harnesses and that will make everything ok..i have put saftey first i have a blitz fire ext...when the car is finished the we can all find the faults but untill then lets go with it,,,,,i think i have enough nos to blow myself up period.....lol

You won't be doing any racing if I am scrutineering, it'll be "pack you bags and don't come back until you have fixed it".

:P cheers :D

yes...scrutineering...harnesses are a big thing, if they arent at the right angle, they dont do the right job as SK said already. Dates too. Cant be out of date! If its for drag racing, im assuming andra have a rules and regs book like the fat cams one we all have that you would have followed when building certain aspects of the car for drag racing. Safety is always big in motorsport, just like in WH&S. Lets just hope it doesnt slow down our cars and turn us into unionised bludgers! :(

well i understand the rules as i said the drivers harnesses go to safety points on the rear parcel shelf and the passengers arnt long enough i am waiting to modify them not sure how as the shoulder straps dont even reach the floor behind its weard any way if the drivers side belt is connected properly wich it is then they cant stop me from racing as they havent before....

i posted this thread to get th0oughts about my nitrous set up i do realise i have to change the passenger side belt from on top of the cage i dont need 10 people telling me what i already no.

the reason the belt is not long enough is that the one you have bought is not designed for a sedan. it has the straps for either an open wheeler, or a roadster (like and MX5 or clubman etc). they bolt the shoulder straps right behind the drivers shoulders. I'm not sure that there is any way you can legally modify it, i would just try and sell it and buy the correct belt. :P

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
