Garret -7S Vs 9S - Which One?

Long time reader, finally decided to make a account and ask something, now I have searched and searched but can't seem to find a definitive answer.

Which is the better turbo for response, I know they are similar but is a general preference in which one to run? Both are similar but is there a overall "better" turbo?

Have a look at the RB26 Dyno thread and it becomes quiet evident. The -7's are pretty outdated now (basically N1 equivelants), not to say there is anything wrong with them for a street car but if I had the choice between -7 and -9 I would go the -9's without any thought.

The -9's have virtually identical response with a higher top end. Only downside is that they dont come with actuators and are in turn slightly more expensive when coupled with a set of adjustable actuators (couple of hundred $$$ difference). Aside for that -9's all the way :thumbsup:
