Also make sure you have good clamps to apply consistent pressure across the whole joint. I used Sikaflex for my boot lip spoiler, first go let it sit for 24 hours, it came off after a couple of months. It's only starting to let go a little now, two years later.

Are you planning on blending/smoothing/painting them later on? If so I would use 3m panel bond, only stuff I have used that doesn't separate later on causing cracking issues.
No doubt sika is a great product, but there are better options.
