  7. haha the tyres have served me well, its not like i wear em out cause any sign of traction loss is painful to the car lol nah i got traction tyres to install them (http://www.tractiontyres.com.au ) Tried to get them to have a look at it, but roads were too wet.
  8. By driving i meant launching in first gear, sorry for the confusion. Was indicating that ive only felt it and havent had a friend spot it from outside the car.
  9. Hey, TestDrive car show on ch10 reviewed the GTR last saturday. A bit cheesy to what we have all seen/read, but it did convince my old man that its a good car, i guess their market is the general public haha Now if only my old man would go and buy one... /dream http://www.discountnewcars.com.au/testdriv.../video_ep2.html
  10. yeah they the same tyres, they just reached the indicators. Ive eliminated those 4 options! where is option 5!! (apart from car sitting atm at 340mm instead of 345mm, i doubt 5mm would make it magically disappear...) Bilstein shocks and springs were supplied as package from suspension place, so they matched perfectly. Havent got a person to see it, but i definitely feel it when driving. Loud banging in the rear and the gear shifter going nuts haha I guess ill see if the problem goes away with new tyres, but just wanted to make sure that is the problem... Thanks
  11. yeah i thought it was my old suspension too, hence pushed me into upgrading too bad it didnt fix the axle tramp
  12. Bridgestone potenza gIII, close to replacing. Pressure; 38psi cheers
  13. Hey, Have had a problem with axle tramp with my car and been trying to fix it but having no luck. What ive done so far; - SuperPro SPF2687K RR cross member insert enhancement mount (had to drop whole subframe to install etc) Still had axle tramp, so put in new suspension; - Bilstein shocks w/ kingsprings; set at 340mm on rear Still have axle tramp Does anyone know whats causing the problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
  14. The r32 oil pressure plays up in every r32. I wouldnt bother analysing it as none of them work correctly. Under the oil pressure gauge is a light, you only need to worry when that light turns on. As that light tells you your pressure is gonerz. Mine always sits on 0 but then jumps up etc. Best is to get an aftermarket gauge and then monitor the oil pressure to see if you really have a problem. Else, you could go to any mechanic and ask to do a oil pressure test and they can let you know if there really is a problem.

  16. If you cant find anyone and want to give it a shot yourself Paul, try Swish http://www.swishzone.com/index.php?area=pr...roduct=max_mini Its a very simple wysiwyg flash editor thingi, so if you are bored you can give that a try
  17. I remember at caulfield, the coles parking next to monash uni. I parked on top level, saw chalk mark on tyre, so moved the car to bottom level and rubbed off the chalk. I still got a $30 fine haha I reckon it helps to have a car which blends in with the others. Its easy to remember the black skyline amongst all the silver toyota's lol
  18. Link it off the ring around the cig lighter. That turns on with headlights Its the top connector in the picture below; Instructions on how to get to it is here; http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...em-t204874.html
  19. Hey, As per Sydneykid's thread I got a wheel alignment done with the following settings; Front: Caster: +7 Camber: -1 deg Toe: 0 Rear Camber: -0.5deg Toe: 2mm in each side When I picked up the car, the suspension place warned me that the -0.5deg camber on the rear can land me in trouble on the track. They mentioned something about if i enter a corner quickly and put a lot of load to one side, i can change the camber to positive causing loss of traction and some other mumbo-jumbo. Essentially, he was saying that the back can snap on me due to the small camber if pushed... I also had to sign a waiver stating that i accept there is a potential for the cars rear geometry to upset the handling of the car and make it unpredictable What are your views? Should i change it to -1deg camber on the rear? or will -0.5deg be fine... haha Cheers
  20. very interesting! Never knew you could do that with the skylines. Majority of people just say look at the LED on the ecu but this seems much easier. Should be in the tutorial/diy section
  21. Thanks all, confirmed with supplier and they are both same left and right.
  22. I used a pot filter adapter which bolts onto the AFM on my r32 gtst. Not sure if you can do something similar in your rb26? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/POD-AIR-FILTER-ADAP...93%3A1|294%3A50
  23. how would a RWC know if you have an upgraded turbo? unless its an obvious highmount, i doubt they would know whats under the heatsheild? Intercooler is legal as long as you dont have airpod. So replace it with the standard airbox. Although if you cut a hole under the battery tray to pass intercooler piping they might sting you on that.
  24. Hey, I just fit some new kingsprings onto my bilstein shocks and just wanted to make sure about if there is a difference between left and right? The sticker on the packaging said make sure you check the notations for Front/left and front/right etc but the sticker looked generic used for all springs. I looked at the springs and i couldnt see any notations for left and right...Could someone confirm this? The springs i got are; KDRL-102SP and KDFL-101SP Does anyone know if these have specific left/right springs? Thanks!
  25. Spotted a yellow lambo in the morning with NSW rego plates. Was near Eltham. Driver was looking at my car? Any chance its a Supercarclub car?
