  1. VIN: BNR32001217 Eng: RB26005667AA Cheers, Matt.
  2. That's the Wheels one I am after! Cool you picked it up for $2!
  3. That would be awesome, cheers. Unfortunately I only saw that now so I'll pm you my details for msn.
  4. I'm looking for links etc. to old GT-R reviews. For example I think Wheels did a handling test against Porsche, BMW etc and the GT-R won. Any other test drives from Wheels/Motor or other mags of that era would be great. I had a search but couldn't find anything. Cheers Matt
  5. Manslaughter - Unintentional and unlawful killing of another person. How the fark can you 'attempt' manslaughter? Ok, so he attempted to unintentially kill you. Right. He hit you perfectly to send your car into a spin while you both were driving straight, not racing. Sounds feasible. It seems like you are giving other responsible Skyline owners a bad name, and making their insurance premiums go up. Calm down a little, type your posts in word so you can have them spell checked, it hurts my head reading them. And most of all take care of yourself on the roads.
  6. All good. Are you an underwriter? I read you changed positions? So I guess, more to the point, were you an underwriter? What do you do now?
  7. Certainly don't have anything to do with them other than having one car insured through them, there are still 10 with Shannons at this stage. Just sharing my findings and savings other may be able to benefit from, kind of insulted you presumed I have something to do with them... just as you do with Shannons. I work for Marsh (look them up).
  8. Shit yeah, goes from ~250rwkW to 650rwkW+. Would be a wild ride indeed. It's only laggy because there is so, so much up top.
  9. Not as if you were going to take it out anyway... How old are you? How often do you drive your car? You would know better than anyone the loss ratio of some of that sort of stuff... You are right though it appears to be quite a similar policy to Shannons, except they have some added benefits/options (seasonal/collection covers) and can do all types of business (Car Club liability!) cover also. And for me it was cheaper. Obviously not every company is going to suit everybody. Good on you for helping people on here, although I heard some people from Shannons got in a lot of trouble for that though...? Is that true?
  10. They have to be. They are owned by commercial brokers and act as an agent for a large underwriter. They bound by strict Australian insurance legislation. I was comfortable, if you aren't then fair enough stick with who you are with now. Mind you I work in corporate insurance myself so I am a little more careful/comfortable with these sorts of things. Keep in mind, just because something else is mass marketed and appears bigger doesn't always mean it's better. The younger companies often go at it aggressively to get market share. Which means great premiums, service and cover for consumers.
  11. Doesn't matter what car you own, is a wake to the dangers of cars as a hobby. I heard the bloke that raced him in the Falcon GT has turned himself in.
  12. It's the right car for Mazda to make now, bring the rotary to the masses and make money. But for me it is too slow. The FD was a failure in the sense that it was not profitable for Mazda in the US, their biggest market. The RX8 is fixing that and fingers crossed we will see a car as good as the FD again (except maybe a little less tempremental!).
  13. I wasn't all impressed with the RX8 either. And being a long time rotary owner I was dead keen on getting one. Great car, just too slow for me. Still drove beautifully though.
  14. Would be an awesome little daily driver, very cool for what it is for sure. Weird. It's as fast as an RX8, obviously not around a track, but in a straight line. From roll on it sounds very impressive. Plenty of mid range meat by the sounds of it.
  15. Found this insurance is awesome, better/more features than the Shannons policy and far less costly also: http://www.justinsuranceservices.com.au/ One of our cars in particular was a heap cheaper than Shannons, it was an XY Falcon too! That is supposed to be Shannons core market. Looks like there is some genuine competition in the car enthusiast insurance sector, which can only mean good things for the consumer. Call them for a quote, I'd imagine you'll be pleasantly surprised.
  16. Holy shit that's a mess. Be careful peoples...
  17. It can/may but you would be changing so fast that it has a negligable affect on performance.
  18. Kms? History? Engine bay photos? What happened to the front lip?
  19. The weird thing is it looks as if it were driven in there for auction!
  20. Fully, isn't that more in the stock times area?!
  21. Very quick and big mph too!
  22. Looks good - you certainly aren't wasting any time!
  23. Looks sweet as, love the turbos. Good luck with it, a power up shouldn't be a problem at all! :PBJ:
  24. Sweet thanks, I have a lot of downloading and watching to do now. Love the P510 ads.
  25. Credit where it's due. That is an awesome power figure and a credit to all involved.
