Simply depends on the individuals situation which rates come out better. But you are right at your age you'd expect to be in Just Car's market - not AAMI's. You just can't tell... but you are enjoying better excesses with AAMI I would expect anyway.
Yeah 1/4 mile in under 15 seconds is not slow for particularly for an NA 4 cyl. They handle and stop awesome too - they certainly aren't 'soft' by any means - quiterough riding and loud inside. A chrome wheel'd, cannon drain pipe droney fart exhaust base model Integra is a different story however... Type Rs aren't the same car and have a different purpose... they are far more purposeful than an NA Skyline. They reward a good steerer. They are a great fun car to drive and cheap on fuel, rev to buggery and Honda's are reliable. Would make a great daily and if you are lucky enough to have one as a first car you're doing well.
Spotted a white R33 GTST on Adelaid Ave. He wanted a run but I wasn't going to oblige given I have seen about 15 cop cars and bikes today. Not worth the risk particularly there.
Cool can see the difference now (and the blue on the seats in the first lot of pics). The lip on my car is rooted from the previous owner. Was considering a carbon one, but would prefer the S3 shape.
God damn. Such a nice car, one of my favourites for sure. Series3, midnight purple, Rays rims, some cool carbon bits... awesome. Keep up the good work. I want all that carbon on mine.
Best thing is to call and demostrate you are responsible and a good risk (as with most/all companies), plus a genuine motor enthusiast (appears to be their main criteria from the ads on TV). You got nothing to lose other than a minute or so of your time.
For me I have my Skyline with JIS (justinsuranceservices.com.au). Their policies are comparable (appears JIS win it actually and Shannons have a great policy!). Plus JIS were quoting significantly cheaper than a car I had with Shannons which was less risk (2003 Monaro) and very similar sum insured. My personal experience.
Spotted YES32R on Canberra Ave a while ago. I think you are reading this thread right now.
Sweet car and plates - what I was going to get a while ago! May get YEH or YES33R soon.
Exactly SoFresh - unpredictable. Which in the long run is worse IMO...
When inexperienced (or flat out not so good) it is best to understand and reliably expect it to kick out than to drive silly on a single spinner for it to usually do nothing lateral... cause when it does... ouch.
At least you can predict what it's going to do. Nothing like expecting a single spinner to do just that and have it kick out a mile.
Bad luck mate, your bank account will heal eventually - as bad as it seems now. Just glad you are OK. Sucks you were trying to do the right thing with insurance and this happens - except Just Car's excess would have been just as horrendous as the premium I would think.
Good luck mate.
It's a sweet angle. Car just looks phat there dezz.
Another one of mine, lights working! (There were rooted when I got it). Car was registered this week! :PBJ:
