  1. Shannons act as an agent for Australian Alliance Insurance (but are wholly owned by them), it is often the way the insurance world works. No trouble at all, nothing wrong with legal agreements! ETA: Prior to being bought out Shannons acted in the same way the 'smaller' ones do. It is common and nothing to worry about. Yep, very similar I agree. Certainly a case of much of a muchness. Definitely simply a case of shop around, but don't be nervous if you haven't heard of them from TV or 'everyone' being insured through them is my point.
  2. I am negotiable on the price too peoples.
  3. Has 3 months rego on it. Goes straight over rego.
  4. Definitely 32kms, it is clear when viewed in real life - engine bay looks new apart from being sprayed the wrong colour back in the late 90s by the Japanese owner. The seat, steering wheel and pedals are as new. The old bloke previous owner damaged the lip (it is low), I ended up taking it off. It had a respray after being keyed - the badge was removed and replaced then. The boot lock badge I don't know about. Very, very minor details considering the car as a whole package and the obvious value. Please don't attempt to discredit my ad, for what reason? I mean, why bother? I complemented your car you are trying to sell - a high km, recent import (?), non-V-Spec S3 - based on some lovely pics you took. Why go out of your way to question my car? The cynic in me wonders if you are worried about your car being in direct competition with mine? New Pics (washed it today and it didn't rain this time so looks OK )
  5. Haha, the market is competitive. None 'copies' one another per se. Ryno offer policy benefits Shannons don't, but I can't think of any policy benefits Shannons offers and Ryno don't... For Australian enthusiast/classic insurance market - Biggest/mass marketed name in the business: Shannons. Best price/policy ratio in the business: Ryno. Depends if you want talk advertised hype or awesome value... Which certainly not a criticism of Shannons, who have done great things for me at claim time and I am still with them for some vehicles, as much as it is a positive of Ryno's and me preferring to keep the dollars in my pocket while still getting a good policy. Shop around is the best advice I can give.
  6. I'll work on getting those tomorrow morning.
  7. Hey All FS: 1997 S3 R33 GTR V-Spec Time to sell the GTR. It is a genuine rarity, being a Series 3 V-Spec and having only 33k on it. You can tell the kms are genuine from the wear (or lack of) on the seats, steering wheel, pedals, engine bay etc. Aside from that I know the history, I bought it off a bloke in his 50s, who has had the car in Australia since 1999. And obviously, has done bugger all driving since then. It is stock, never been 'boosted' and even still has the stock exhaust. I searched a long time for a car like this. This week on 19 February the car had a full mechanical inspection by Trojan Motorsports (at a potential buyers request) with great results confirming the cars condition, compression test: 1-150, 2-147, 3-147, 4-147, 5-150, 6-147. Sold guys
  8. Good post. They are different. Nothing wrong with being able to appreciate all sorts of different things. I have had a plethora of different types of cars. Some are better than others in some areas, some in others. Who cares, if you close your mind you miss out.
  9. Man Nissan Australia need to get sorted and bring some of these interesting Nissan to Australia!!
  10. I bought a stock very low kms S3 V-Spec. Best car I have owned to drive, very reliable so far too (granted only a few months). I would go stock or mild mods, in best condition, latest model and lowest kms you can for the most trouble free ownership. I am very happy with my purchase... just needs more power now!
  11. I remember they compared the 1J to the RB26 in Zoom I think it was, leaving the 2J in a league of its own... fair call you reckon?
  12. http://mugenpower.net/rx7c/ricesp.mpg Right click save as Very quick for what is largely a stock car on street tyres. Cool vid too.
